Predict NowThe Allahabad University Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Allahabad University for admission in various postgraduate programs available at the university. The exam is categorised into two categories, namely PGAT-I and PGAT-II. The PGAT I is conducted for courses in conventional subjects such as M.A.in Ancient History, M.A.in Med. & Mod. History, and M. Despite having a separate exam pattern for Allahabad University PGAT (2022) for both the exam, PGAT I and PGAT II will contain 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates can score a maximum of 300 marks in both the entrance exam. Questions in both the test will totally depend upon the program for which the candidate is applying for admission.

A total of 300 questions will be asked in both PGAT I and PGAT II.
PGAT I examination paper will be conducted as offline as well as online.

0.5 Mark will be deducted in the total tally for each incorrect attempt.
Maximum Time allocated for both the exam is 3 hours(180 minutes).
First fifty questions available in both the exams are compulsory for all candidates.

First fifty questions for the PGAT 1 entrance exam will be compulsory for all the candidates. These fifty questions will be related to General English, General Hindi, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability.
Remaining hundred questions will be related to two subjects of the final year of the graduation or which applicant has applied as a Subject Candidate. Fifty questions will cover questions from each subject separately.
Applicants are suggested to choose the correct codes for their respective subjects carefully.
Total Marks will be calculated separately as the sum of marks scored for fifty questions of the respective subject and for fifty compulsory questions.
Applicants are also allowed to attempt just fifty questions related to any one of the two subjects chosen of her/ his final year of graduation as per the choices are done in the application form as Subject Candidate in place of remaining hundred questions. Total marks, in this case, will be calculated as the sum of marks scored in the first fifty compulsory questions and the remaining fifty questions from the chosen subject.
First fifty questions available in the PGAT II are compulsory for all candidates.
These fifty questions will be related to general studies.
Remaining 100 questions will cover the topics available in the respective subject.

Allahabad University PGAT 2022 marking scheme will be decided by Allahabad University, Uttar Pradesh. The marking scheme is the same for both PGAT I and PGAT II. As per the university, the candidate will be granted two marks for each correct answer while 0.5 marks will be deducted from the total score tally if the candidate answered any question wrong. No changes will be affected in case of the question left unattempted.
