Assam PAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

DTE Assam will lay down eligibility rules, which the applicants must satisfy to appear for the entrance exam. Only the candidates satisfying the eligibility norms mentioned below shall be allowed to submit the online application form for the entrance exam. The eligibility rules of Assam PAT include age limit, domicile rules, educational qualification, etc. All the details about the eligibility criteria of Assam PAT 2024 exam can be checked below. 

    Assam PAT Age Limit 2024

    The age of the candidate must not be more than 20 years or 6 months as of December 31, 2024, for UR/OBC/MOBC candidates. For SC/ST(P/H) candidates, the maximum age limit is 23 years 6 months. The age limit for candidates aspiring to pursue a Diploma in Modern Office Management course must not be more than 23 years and 6 months as of December 31, 2024, for UR/OBC/MOBC candidates. For SC/ST(P/H) candidates, the maximum age limit is 25 years 6 months.

    Assam PAT Eligibility for Diploma in Engineering

    The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology are given below: -

    • The candidate must qualify for the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT-2024) entrance examination offered by SCTE, Assam, as notified by the DTE, Assam.
    • The candidate must have passed H.S.L (Class 10) or equivalent examination.
    • He/ She must have studied Mathematics and Science in the qualifying exam.
    • The minimum percentage acceptable is 40% for General category candidates, 35 % for  SC candidates an 33% for ST candidates.

    Assam PAT Eligibility for Modern office Management

    The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in Diploma course in Modern Office Management course is given below:

    • The candidate must qualify Modern Office Management Admission Test (MOM-2024) entrance test offered by SCTE, Assam, as notified by the DTE, Assam.
    • He/ She must hold  H.S.S.L.C (Class 12) or equivalent exam in Humanities/ Science or Commerce.

    Other Eligibility Rules for Assam PAT 2024

    Apart from the academic qualification and age limits, the other eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

    • The candidate must be physically and mentally fit. He/ She should produce a fitness certificate at the time of admission which must be approved by a registered medical practitioner.
    • The candidate must be an Indian citizen and He/ She must be a permanent resident of Assam. The candidate must produce a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) on the day of counselling. 
    • Sports Quota candidates must be a winner of State Level Game/  State Championship/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam. The admission will be considered on the basis of medals received. The medals must be received within a period of 3 years. 
    • Selection under NCC quota will be considered on the basis of NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer, National Cadets Corps or higher level.

    Assam PAT offers admission in three branches of engineering - Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering with an input capability of 60 students in each branch totaling up to 180 candidates.

    The Assam PAT Cutoff Marks are 40 for general candidates, 35 for SC candidates, and 33 for ST category candidates.
