The age of the candidate must not be more than 20 years or 6 months as of December 31, 2024, for UR/OBC/MOBC candidates. For SC/ST(P/H) candidates, the maximum age limit is 23 years 6 months. The age limit for candidates aspiring to pursue a Diploma in Modern Office Management course must not be more than 23 years and 6 months as of December 31, 2024, for UR/OBC/MOBC candidates. For SC/ST(P/H) candidates, the maximum age limit is 25 years 6 months.

Assam PAT offers admission in three branches of engineering - Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering with an input capability of 60 students in each branch totaling up to 180 candidates.
The Assam PAT Cutoff Marks are 40 for general candidates, 35 for SC candidates, and 33 for ST category candidates.
Candidates must qualify for the 12th level or equivalent from any recognized board. The minimum mark candidates must score at least 40% for general, 35% for SC, and 33% for ST category.
