BITSAT, or Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test, is an online entrance exam conducted annually by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani. Every year, around 3 lakh students secure admission into BE, BPharm, and MSc programs through BITSAT.

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science administers the BITS Admission Test in online mode. BITSAT Eligibility Criteria for admission to First Degree programmes except B.Pharm (Hons)

• Candidates must have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Proficiency in English is required.
• A minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in each subject is necessary.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria for admission to BPharm (Hons)

• Candidates should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Proficiency in English is mandatory. PCMB students can also apply.
• A minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Mathematics, if applicable for PCMB students) with at least 60% marks in each subject is required.

Additional Eligibility Criteria to Keep in Mind:

• Only students appearing for the 12th standard examination in 2025 or those who passed in 2022 are eligible for BITSAT 2025. Students passing before 2022 are not eligible.
•  If a candidate attempts the 12th standard or its equivalent multiple times, only the latest attempt's performance will be considered.
• Candidates currently studying on any BITS campus are not eligible for the BITSAT 2025 exam.
• Admissions are purely merit-based. Merit is determined by the BITSAT 205 exam score. However, eligibility is subject to meeting minimum marks requirements in the Class 12 Board exam.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria - Nationality

• Candidates with Indian citizenship are eligible to apply for BITSAT 2025 under the regular quota.
• Candidates with a valid passport from any foreign country and SAT scores can apply for BITSAT 2025 under the International Student Admission Scheme. 

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

There is no minimum or maximum age limit specified for the BITSAT 2025 application. The only requirement is that candidates must be appearing or should have passed the Class 12 examination in or after 2022.

The BITSAT application form 2025 will expectedly be available in the month of January and May 2025 for phases 1 & 2 respectively. BITSAT Application Fee 2025

• For exam centres in India: A candidate taking the BITSAT 2025 exam twice shall have to pay Rs. 5400 (for a male applicant) and Rs. 4400 (for a female candidate). A candidate who initially chooses to appear for the test just once (Session 1) must pay a fee of Rs. 3400 (for a male candidate) and Rs. 2900 (for a female candidate). To apply for a second time (Session 2), candidates must pay an extra fee of Rs. 2000 (for a male candidate) and Rs. 1500 (for a female candidate).
• For exam centres in Dubai: The application cost for both male and female students is Rs. 7000 for session 1 only. For candidates who wish to appear in both sessions, the required fee is Rs.9000 for both male and female applicants. Candidates initially appearing once (Session 1) at Dubai Center and then applying a second time (Session 2) must pay an extra Rs. 2000.

The BITSAT admit card 2025 will be issued a couple of days after the submission of the application form is complete. Through the BITSAT slot booking 2025 facility, candidates can select the BITSAT 2025 exam date and slot time. The steps to be followed for slot booking of BITSAT 2025 have been mentioned below-

The BITSAT exam pattern 2025 will be released by BITS Pilani along with the official brochure. As per the paper pattern, the BITS Admission Test will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for 3 hours. Candidates will be asked questions about physics, chemistry, and mathematics, in addition to logical reasoning and English. Candidates attempting the B.Pharm pape have to attempt, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Logical Reasoning. • All questions will be multiple choice, and the mode of language will be English.
• The exam will consist of 130 questions in total
• The question paper will be divided into five sections
• Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English proficiency, and Logical Thinking of the candidates will be tested.

Important Note: If a candidate answers all 130 questions without skipping any, they can attempt an extra 12 questions if there is still time left. Extra questions will be based on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, and Logical Reasoning, with three questions each. Once a candidate selects extra questions, they cannot change their answers to any of the previous 130 questions. The extra questions (a maximum of 12) will provide an opportunity for highly qualified candidates to score cutoff marks in the exam.

BITS Pilani will release the detailed BITSAT syllabus 2025 along with the information brochure on its official website - bitsadmission.com. The syllabus for BITSAT 2025 is similar to the NCERT syllabus of Classes 11 & 12, covering a wide range of topics from Science sections (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics). The BITSAT exam 2025 is conducted for a total of 390 marks. To calculate scores using the unofficial BITSAT 2025 answer key, candidates must follow these steps:-

• Count the total number of questions answered correctly out of 130 questions and multiply the sum by 3 
• Count the total number of questions answered incorrectly and multiply the sum by 1
• Find the difference between the total number of correct responses and incorrect responses
• The result obtained will be the estimated BITSAT scores.

BITS Pilani will release the BITSAT Result 2025 on its official website. Moreover, it is expected that the result of BITSAT will be announced tentatively in June 2025. To download the BITSAT Result 2025 online, candidates will have to provide their application number and password. The BITSAT 2025 scorecard includes details, like the total number of correct and incorrect answers, as well as the candidate's total score.

Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences does not specify BITSAT passing marks 2025. The qualifying marks typically vary each year, according to the BITS campus applied to, the total number of registrations, the difficulty level of the paper, and so on. Going by the previous year's cutoff trends, the minimum passing marks for admission to BITS Pilani range from 153 to 331 while for BITS Goa, the passing marks range from 205 to 295.

The BITS authorities will not release any official list of BITSAT 2025 toppers. Candidates will be assigned ranks based on their performance and scores obtained in the entrance examination. Students with the highest score out of 390 marks will be ranked first and so on. BITS Pilani will release the BITSAT 2025 final cutoff on its official website. Candidates will be able to check the BITSAT cutoff 2025 to determine the minimum marks necessary for admission to BITS institutions. Students with marks more than or equal to the BITSAT cutoff score will have a better chance of admission. The cutoff is determined by taking into account the number of seats available, the number of admission applications received, the scores of the applicants, and other factors.

Selection of candidates through BITSAT is done purely based on merit. The candidate's selection will be based on the BITSAT scores. If a candidate has appeared for both sessions of BITSAT 2025, admission to First Degree programmes will be offered taking into account the best score achieved by him/her. Based on the student's overall performance in the entrance exam, BITS Pilani will prepare two types of BITSAT 2025 merit lists - one is the BITSAT 2025 admit list and the other one is the BITSAT 2025 waitlist.

• BITSAT Admit List 2025: The admit list of BITSAT 2025 will feature the names of candidates who have scored the BITSAT 2025 cutoff and are eligible for participation in the BITSAT counselling 2025.
• BITSAT Wait List 2025: The BITSAT 2025 waitlist will have the names of candidates who are put on hold and will be called for admission only if there are any vacant seats.

There are only 2 private institutions apart from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) that accept BITSAT scores in India for admission to BE/BTech programmes. Students can check the colleges accepting BITSAT 2025 in India along with the approximate fee structure here:-

BITSAT counselling will be conducted in six rounds. Only those applicants who pass the BITSAT 2025 exam will be considered eligible to participate in BITSAT Counselling 2025. Moreover, the counselling will include the procedure such as:-

• Online Registration: BITS Pilani will conduct the BITSAT 2025 counselling registration in online mode. Candidates must visit the official website click on the counselling registration link and provide all the required information.
• Marks Submission: Candidates must upload information on subject-wise marks acquired in the Class 12 examination. Candidates awaiting results must download the BITSAT counselling application form 2025 and submit it to the authorities once their Class 12 results are out. They must put "Original form already submitted, 12th standard marks being submitted now" on the top of the application form.
