The CAT 2024 edit window is now closed. Candidates could make changes to their application form till September 30, 2024 (5 PM). CAT 2024 registration concluded at 5 PM on the official website on September 20, 2024. The registration last date was extended to September 20 from September 13, 2024. IIM Calcutta released the application form on August 1, 2024, on the official website at iimcat.ac.in. The registration process involves creating the login credentials, filling out the form, and paying the application fees. 

To generate the CAT user ID and password, candidates must provide their personal and communication details and maintain a valid email and phone number throughout the CAT registration. The CAT 2024 application fee is INR 2500 for the general category and INR 1250 for reserved categories. To apply for the CAT exam 2024, scheduled for November 24, 2024, one must have a bachelor's degree in any stream with a 50% aggregate score (45% for the reserved category). How to Edit CAT Application Form 2024?

IIMs allow candidates to CAT application form correction for 3-4 days after the registrations are closed. During this window, candidates can change their test city preferences, photograph, and signature. However, no other details can be modified. Here's how to edit the CAT application form 2024.

• Step 1: Open your web browser and go to the CAT website.
• Step 2: Once on the homepage, locate and click on the ‘login’ tab.
• Step 3: Enter your User ID and password in the provided fields.
• Step 4: After logging in, find and click on the 'Application Form' section.
• Step 5: Within the application form, locate the editable sections such as photo, signature, and test city, and make the necessary modifications.
• Step 6: Once you have made the required changes, enter the CAPTCHA code in the provided field.
• Step 7: Finally, click on ‘continue’ to complete the process.

How to Fill CAT 2024 Application Form?

Candidates must follow these basic steps to complete the online registration for the CAT exam 2024. The detailed procedure for filling out the CAT registration form is mentioned below.

Step 1: Register to Receive the User ID and Password

• To complete the CAT application form online, candidates must visit the official website and click on the 'Register' tab under ‘New Candidate Registration'.

• The CAT application form will open, and candidates must provide their details, such as Name, Birth Date, Email Address, Mobile Number, and Country. 

• Once all the details are entered, the candidate's CAT application form will be verified and authenticated through an OTP. 
• On successful registration, candidates will receive their CAT User ID and Password through Email and SMS. 
• Those who have already registered for the exam just need to click on the 'Login' tab under 'Registered Candidate Login' to go to the next step, which is filling out the CAT exam registration form.

Step 2: Log in to the CAT Website with System Generated User ID & Password

• The next step in completing the CAT registration form is to log in to the official website using the system-generated User ID and password. 

• Using these credentials, you can log in to fill out the CAT application form. You need not complete the application in a single session. You can log in multiple times to complete it. 
• In cases where a candidate forgets their password, they can get a new password by clicking on the ‘Forgot Password’ tab given on the ‘Existing User’ login window. Candidates will receive the new password on their registered email IDs. 

Step 3: Fill out and Submit the CAT Application Form

Once a user has logged in, their personal details will appear on the screen. To start filling out the CAT form 2024, candidates will be required to click on 'Go to Application Form.' In the application form, candidates will have to provide the following details:

• Personal Details (such as Name, Gender, Nationality, Category, Communication Address, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Email ID, Mobile Phone Number, etc.)
• Academics Details (such as Scores of Class X Exam, Class XII Exam, Bachelor’s Degree Details, Master’s Degree Details, and Other Professional Course Details)
• Work Experience Details (if applicable, it will include industry type, number of months, etc.)
• Programs (this is where candidates have to mention the IIMs where they wish to study and courses they wish to pursue)
• Test City (candidates will be allowed to choose any four test locations as per their preference)

Step 4: Payment of CAT Application Fee

Finally, candidates must pay the CAT application form fee (BillDesk, PayU or Paytm).
