Knowing the exam pattern will certainly help the candidates to prepare a strategy that can help them ace the exam. CGPSC SSE exam is basically divided into three parts: Prelims, Mains, and Personality Test/ Interview. CGPSC Prelims is a computer-based test while the CGPSC SSE Mains exam is a descriptive paper that tests the interpretative skills of the candidates. The Prelims and Mains exam patterns of the state service exam are different, and for the benefit of candidates, the CGPSC 2023 exam pattern has been mentioned in a simple format below.
CGPSC SSE exam pattern for Prelims/ Preliminary exam can be checked below. The candidates must note that the Prelims exam is divided into Paper I & II. Paper I, also known as the GS Paper, is an important paper. It is included to prepare the final merit list of the recruitment cycle. Whereas Paper II, also known as the CSAT, is qualifying in nature and does not account for the final merit. While the Paper I exam takes place in the Morning session (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM), Paper II exam takes place in the afternoon session, i.e., 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Candidates who qualify the CGPSC Prelims exam are shortlisted for the further process of the exam. The next step after the prelims exam is the CGPSC SSE Mains Exam. Additional Details about CGPSC Mains Exam pattern for SSE 2023
The personality test/ Interview for CGPSC SSE is conducted for 150 marks. Candidates who are shortlisted, on the basis of their performance in Mains exam, shall be called for personality test or interview.
