HSEE 2023 Exam Pattern

The HSEE 2023 exam will be conducted for a total of 3 hours. The medium of the paper will be English. There will be two papers in the exam. Paper I will consist of the subjects as English and Comprehension Skill; Analytical and Quantitative Ability; General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economy, Indian Society and Culture, World Affairs; and Environment and Ecology.

Paper II will consist of writing an essay on a general topic involving description, or/and reflection or/and discussion. While Paper I will be conducted for a total of 2 ½ hours, Part II will be conducted for 30 minutes where the student can use the keyboard to type the essay in the space provided in the question paper. However, candidates wishing to write essays in offline mode (using pen and paper) will also be allowed to do so, upon request. The request can be made while downloading the Admit Card by clicking the suitable option. One hour compensatory (extra) time (50 minutes for Part I and 10 minutes for Part II) will also be allowed to the candidates with 40% or more disability.

HSEE 2023 Marking Scheme

For the HSEE 2023 exam, there will be objective type questions where the candidates will be given 4 options for each question. Out of the 4 options, the candidates will have to choose the correct answer and mark it in the OMR sheet provided.

For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and there will be no negative marking for HSEE 2023. For an unattempted question or in case the candidate marks more than one answer in a question, there will be 0 marks granted.
