The HSEE 2023 merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the HSEE 2023 exam. Through the HSEE 2023 merit list, the qualifying candidates will be allotted rank positions. A common rank list made up of candidates who score at least 50% in HSEE-2023 will be prepared.
Separate rank lists will be prepared corresponding to GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories. Based on the HSEE 2023 merit list, the candidates will be provided admission to the institute. The candidates must score the following minimum marks to be on the HSEE 2023 merit list:

The candidate who has a higher aggregate in the HSEE 2023 exam will be appointed a better rank. In case of a tie between two or more candidates, the following criteria will be considered for rank allotment:
The candidate who scores more marks in Part II (Essay writing) will be given a higher rank.
If ties occur in both Part II and aggregate marks, one who scores more marks in the “General Studies” section of Part I will be given a higher rank.
If ties occur in all of the aggregate, Essay writing, and General studies marks, one who scores more marks in the “Analytical Abilities” section of Part I will receive a higher rank.
If ties occur after all these tie-breaking criteria, candidates will be given the same rank.
