IILET 2024 Syllabus
The major subjects for the IILET 2024 syllabus include English Language, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
English Language: There are around 450-word passages. These excerpts will be drawn from contemporary or historically relevant fiction and non-fiction writing. Each reading will be accompanied by a series of queries designed to assess students' comprehension skills, including their ability to read and comprehend the major point discussed in the passage and any arguments or opinions expressed or outlined in the passage.
Current Affairs and General Knowledge: Candidates are given passages of up to 450 words each in this part. The passages are taken from news articles, journalistic sources, and other nonfiction work. The questions may incorporate an evaluation of legal material or knowledge discussed in or connected to the passage, but no more legal knowledge beyond the passage is required.
Legal Reasoning: Candidates are given passages that may have actual events or scenarios involving legal issues, public policy issues, or moral philosophical inquiries. Candidates are not required to have any prior legal expertise. But those with a basic understanding of current legal and moral challenges may have an advantage in better applying general principles or propositions to given scenarios.
Logical Reasoning: The Logical Reasoning component of the IILET 2024 will consist of a sequence of 300-word-long paragraphs. Each excerpt will have one or more questions requiring candidates to recognise an argument, its premises, and conclusions; read and identify the arguments in the passage, and so on.
Quantitative Techniques: The Quantitative Techniques section of the IILET 2024 will feature a sequence of questions followed by a short set of facts or propositions, graphs, or other textual, visual, or diagrammatic representations of numerical information. Test-takers will be expected to deduce data and information from such passages, representations, etc., and apply mathematical procedures to that information.
IIL will generate an IILET merit list based on each category's cutoff marks. Candidates will be considered if they meet the eligibility criteria as well as the other admission requirements. The eligible applicants must appear for counselling with the necessary documents and will be evaluated by the exam authority. The exam authority will verify the original documentation of applicants from the academic and reserved categories. As a result, candidates should provide all original and copy documents.
Following that, candidates will be tentatively assigned seats, which they can secure by paying the admission charges and tuition fees and completing all admission processes.
