ILICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025: Candidates seeking admission to the Indian Law Institute, must satisfy the ILICAT eligibility criteria. It indicates the age limit, academic qualifications, reservation policies, nationality, etc.

Applicants must have obtained an LLB degree from a recognised university/ institute with the prescribed marks. Further, a degree in Law from a foreign university may with the required percentage also be accepted provided it meets the norms of the Association of Indian University (AIU). Detailed ILICAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Check the detailed ILICAT 2025 eligibility criteria issued by the Indian Law Institute, Delhi -

  • The candidate must have passed an LLB degree from any institute or university recognised by BCI (Bar Council of India) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Or, they must have completed a law degree from a foreign university with not less than an aggregate of 50% marks or its equivalent as per AIU (Association of Indian University) guidelines.
  • Students falling under the reserved categories such as SC (Scheduled Caste)/ST (Scheduled Tribe)/PH (Physically Handicapped) are awarded a 5% relaxation of marks. They can apply for the ILICAT 2025 with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • If an applicant is a Kashmiri Migrant, he/she is offered a relaxation of 10% from the aggregate score. A student who is a Kashmiri Migrant can apply for ILICAT with a minimum aggregate of 40% marks.
  • If candidates are appearing for the qualifying examination or are awaiting the result, they are also eligible to apply for ILICAT, given that they produce proof of having acquired minimum qualifications at the time of admission.

What after ILICAT 2025 Eligibility Norms?

Once a candidate successfully satisfies the eligibility criteria for ILICAT 2025, he/she can proceed with the application process for the entrance exam. After meeting the set requirements, a candidate is free to fill out the application form of the college for admission to one long-year LLM course.

If by any means, an individual fails to meet the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature is considered invalid for admission through ILICAT 2025.
