ILSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

ILSAT Eligibility Criteria:The ILSAT eligibility criteria is notified by the ICFAI Law School on the official website. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility conditions before sending their ILSAT 2024 applications for the examination.

Here are the eligibility details of ILSAT 2024 -

Eligibility Crieria for BBA LLB (Hons.) / BA LLB

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent.
  • Candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate or above in any discipline in 12th standard. 
  • The medium of instruction in 10+2 must be English. 
  • Candidates who are awaiting results of 10+2 or appearing in the qualifying exam may also apply for the exam. In such cases, the final examinations must have appeared for the exam before the prescribed dates. They must also be able to submit their final mark sheets at the time of admission.

Age

  • Candidates must not be more than 20 years of age as on the day of the beginning of the semester. Norms regarding age have been laid down by the Bar Council of India, which may change from time to time. 
  • The proof of the age of the candidate must be as recorded in the Secondary School Certificate. 

Eligibility Crieria for LLM

  • Candidates seeking admission to the LLM course must satisfy the below-mentioned criteria:
  • Must have secured Graduation in Five Year / Three-Year Law (BA-LLB / BBA-LLB / LLB) or any equivalent degree in Law.
  • Must have obtained not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade.
  • The applicants appearing for final year examination and awaiting results may also apply for the Admission Test.
  • The admission, however, remains provisional until they produce mark-sheets establishing their eligibility.

I am yet to get the result for the final year of graduation. Can I apply for ILSAT?

Yes, candidates awaiting the result for the final year can still apply for the ILSAT exam. However, they would be offered a provisional admission until they produce the actual graduation documents.

Is job experience required to apply for ILSAT?

No, job experience is not mandatory to apply for the ILSAT exam.

I do not satisfy the age criteria. Can I still apply for ILSAT?

No, only those candidates can apply for ILSAT who satisfy the educational criteria and age criteria.

Yes, ILSAT has an age limit set for admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes.

Can I apply for the LLM course through ILSAT if I have completed the BBA LLB course?

If an individual has completed either a 5 years or 3 years LLB degree and satisfies the age criteria, he/she can apply for the LLM programme.

Does ILSAT offer admission to the LLM programme also?

Yes, applicants can get admission to the LLM programme through ILSAT.

What are the minimum marks required in Class 12th to apply for the ILSAT BA LLB programme?

An individual requires at least 50% marks in class 12th to apply for the BA LLB course through ILSAT.

Can I apply for ILSAT if I am unable to meet the eligibility criteria?

No, only those candidates can apply for ILSAT who satisfy the eligibility criteria of the exam.

I am in the final year of my graduation, can I apply?

Yes. A final year student in any undergraduate program can take ILSAT but admission to such a candidate will be granted on a provisional basis.

I have completed my graduation from Science stream, am I eligible to apply for the test?

Yes. A candidate should have done graduation in any discipline from any recognized university or should have an equivalent recognized degree.

What is the Qualification & percentage needed for taking the ILSAT exam?

For B.B.A.LL.B/B.A.LL.B, candidates must have to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. For LL.M, aspirants must have secured Graduation in Five Year/Three-Year Law (B.A-LL.B / B.B.A-LL.B /LL.B) or any equivalent degree in Law with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
