JIPMER PG 2020 (July Session) Counselling

JIPMER PG 2020 (July Session) counselling process will be commencing in offline mode by JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research), Pondicherry. The choosing of disciplines for the 2020 JIPMER PG counselling process will begin after the result of the exam is out. Shortlisting of the candidates for the counselling process will be sheerly done on the basis of merit. The admission process will conclude on 31st July 2020. 

Note: The allotment of seats is done by the organising authority in the order of merit, preferences, category and as per seat availability.

Detailed JIPMER PG 2020 Counselling Process

Registration:

  • For counselling, candidates are required to fill a registration form, wherein they are required to enter the details about their JIPMER PG 2020 score and qualifications.

  • Biometric Finger Print and Verification of Image:

  • To authenticate candidates' identity, a biometric fingerprint and image verification are done.

Certificate Verification:

Candidates are required to submit necessary documents as part of JIPMER PG 2020 counselling process.

Personal Counselling:

In order to participate in the counselling rounds, candidates have to be present at the counselling venue.

Documents Required During JIPMER PG Counselling 2020 (July Session)

At the time of JIPMER PG 2020 (July Session) counselling, applicants are required to bring the following documents with one set of self-attested copies.

  • MBBS Mark-sheet

  • Original Hall Ticket/Admit card with Invigilator seal.

  • Four Passport size, coloured Photographs

  • Rank Letter

  • Date of Birth (DOB) Proof (DOB Certificate or SSLC Certificate)

  • Internship completion certificate

  • Conduct Certificate (from last attended institute)

  • Residence Certificate (Aadhar Card or Voter ID or Passport)

  • Migration Certificate (from last university attended)

  • Permanent or Provisional Medical Registration Certificate

  • Transfer Certificate (from last attended institute)

  • Reserved category (OBC/SC/ST) certificate (if applicable)

  • Medical Certificate for OPH candidates

  • Proof of OCI registration (for OCI candidates)

Who will be eligible for JIPMER PG Counselling 2020

  • Candidates registering for the JIPMER PG 2020 counselling first round will be eligible to participate in the subsequent counselling rounds of JIPMER PG counselling process for 2020.

  • Candidates who do not exercise options at a particular counselling round will be eligible for the next JIPMER PG 2020 counselling round/s

  • Vacant seats from after the conclusion of the third counselling round will be transferred to the final counselling round

  • Candidates who do not register themselves for the first round of the JIPMER PG counselling process will only be allowed to participate in the final counselling round

  • Vacant seats after the final counselling round from the reserved categories will be transferred to the most eligible General category candidates

  • Irrespective of registration for the first counselling round, the final JIPMER PG 2020 counselling round will be open for all

JIPMER PG Counselling 2020: Important Points

Following are some important points regarding the JIPMER PG counselling process for 2020:

  • Candidature of those candidates will be cancelled who fail to report physically at the counselling venue on the designated date

  • Candidates whose name appear in the JIPMER PG 2020 merit list will be the ones who will be called upon to take part in the counselling process for JIPMER PG 2020

  • Both the registered and unregistered candidates can participate in the final round of the JIPMER PG 2020 counselling process

  • As per the availability of seats, the candidates will be given the option to choose a discipline of their preference from MD/MS courses

  • While exercising options, the candidates have to submit an amount of INR 17,960/- and a receipt of the same will be generated by the authorities

  • The fee submission receipt has to be submitted by the candidates while obtaining the admission order

  • In case any candidate wants to withdraw from the admission process before the admission order is released, he/she have to submit INR 50,000/- and the previously deposited amount of 17,960 rupees will not be confiscated. It will only be refunded to those candidates who have been disqualified medically
