KMAT Karnataka Question Paper 2023 Overview

The KMAT Karnataka Question Paper 2023 PDF is available here! KMAT exam 2023 was conducted on November 5, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for the MBA course and from 10 AM to 12 PM for the MCA course. The exam was conducted as a home-based proctored online test and the overall difficulty level of the exam ranged from easy to moderately difficult. The total number of sections in the KMAT 2023 exam was three: Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension. The candidates were given 120 minutes or 2 hours to complete the KMAT paper for 2023. Only Multiple Choices Questions (MCQs) were asked. A total of 120 questions were asked out of which 40 questions were asked in each section.

KMAT Karnataka Exam Analysis 2023

The KMAT 2023 exam was conducted in the home-based remote proctored mode across the state of Karnataka. The major highlights of the KMAT Karnataka 2023 exam are as follows:

  • The overall difficulty level of the exam ranged from easy to moderately difficult.
  • The duration of the KMAT 2023 exam was 2 hours or 120 minutes.
  • The KMAT Karnataka Question Paper 2023 comprised 3 sections: Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal & Reading Comprehension. 
  • A total of 120 MCQs were asked in the KMAT 2023 exam.
  • There were 4 answer options for each question.
  • The language of the paper was English.
  • 40 questions were asked from VARC, 40 questions from QA, and 40 questions from LR.
  • 1 mark was awarded for each correct answer.
  • There was no provision of negative marking for incorrect answers or unattempted questions. 
  • The VARC section evaluated the candidates' expertise in Grammar, Vocabulary and Reading skills. The candidates’ understanding of the passages, ability to choose the appropriate words, phrases, expressions and other language skills were tested in this section. Majority of the questions in the VARC section were from vocabulary, phrases, and passages.
  • LR evaluated how quickly and accurately the candidates can think. Questions from family tree, arrangement, numeric grid, puzzles, and Venn diagrams dominated the LR section.
  • The numerical ability of the candidates was tested in the QA section. Most of the questions in the QA section were from arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and interpretation of tables, graphs and charts.
