MAH MHMCT Counselling Process 2024 Overview

MAH MHMCT CET 2024 counselling process started on July 13, 2024 (Saturday), through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Maharashtra CET Cell. To participate in the online MAH BHMCT CET 2024 counselling process, candidates can use the link provided below to register themselves as a new user:

The conducting body issued the MAH MHMCT merit list 2024 on August 8, 2024; while the provisional list was released on August 3, 2024. Students must note that no official schedule has been announced yet for CAP Round I & II of the MAH MHMCT 2024 exam. 

MAH MHMCT counselling process 2024 will include online registration comprising application form filling up, document verification, and seat allotment followed by the candidate’s reporting at the allocated institutes. Students will also have to be present at the counselling centre for the further process. The number of vacant seats will determine the number of rounds in the MAH MHMCT 2024 counselling process. It must be noted that both the counselling process and seat allotment round will be conducted under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Step-By-Step MAH MHMCT Counselling Process 2024

Check out the detailed step-wise MAH MHMCT 2024 counselling process mentioned below before opting for the counselling round:

Step 1: Registration

  • The eligible candidates have to first register for the MAH MHMCT counselling process 2024

  • During registration, the candidates will be asked to provide their personal details such as name, contact details, address

  • After furnishing all the required details, the candidates have to click on the “Register” button to proceed to the next step

Step 2: Authentication

  • After registration, the candidates will receive an OTP number on their registered mobile number

  • The candidates have to enter the received OTP number in the vacant textbox and click on the button that says - Submit

  • Following clicking on the “Submit” button, the candidates will be taken to the next step

Step 3: Log In

  • After entering the OTP number received by the candidates, they will be taken to a new page where they will be asked to enter their application ID and password

  • After providing all the necessary details, the candidates have to click on “Login” to be taken away to the next step

Step 4: Registration Process for Candidates

  • In this process, the candidates will find a counselling flow chart mentioning each step

  • The candidates will also find all the options given on this page and they have to click on the suitable options and proceed to the next step

Step 5: Candidature-Type Filling

  • In this step, the candidates will be asked to fill in their candidature-type 

  • After clicking on the suitable radio box, they will be asked to confirm their entry

  • After confirmation, the candidates will see a button “Save and Proceed” which they have to press to move towards the next step

Step 6: Candidate Category Details

  • During this step, the candidates have to furnish details regarding the category to which they belong

  • Options like OBC, SC, ST, Ward of Defense Personnel etc will be available to the candidates and they must select the one for which they have proper documents of

  • After clicking on the category, the candidates will also be given a list of documents which they can produce to prove their claims 

  • After providing all the details, the candidates can finally click on the button - Save and Continue to proceed to the next step

Step 7: Enter Qualification Details

  • In this step, the candidates will be asked to provide their qualification details

  • Documents related to class Xth, XIIth and Graduation have o be submitted by the candidates

  • After providing all the requisite information, the candidates have to click on the button - Save and Proceed for the next step

Step 8: Personal Details

  • This step will require the candidates to enter all their personal details such as name, date of birth, guardian name etc

  • The candidates also have to provide their permanent address details in this step

  • Finally, the candidates will be asked to furnish their contact details followed by clicking on the “Save and Proceed” button to move to the next step

Step 9: Document Upload

  • The candidates have to upload all the relevant documents to prove their claims made in the previous step

  • In addition to the documents, the candidates also have to upload their recent passport-sized coloured photographs, scanned signature which should not deviate from the specified format and size

Step 10: Counselling Fee Payment

  • The candidates have to submit the MAH MHMCT counselling fee in this step, i.e INR 800/-

  • The candidates have to pay the required counselling fee via any of the available payment methods - credit card, debit card, net banking etc

Step 11: Counselling Registration Form Printout

  • After paying the counselling fee, the candidates have to take a printout of the completed application form to be used in the subsequent stages 

Step 12: Display of the provisional merit list for Maharashtra State/All India/Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidate on the website​

Step 13: Submission of grievances if any, for all type of Candidates

  • Candidates shall raise the Grievance about correction required in the data displayed in provisional merit list through his/her Login. The status of acceptance/rejection of Grievance raised by the candidate shall be available in candidates Login along with latest receipt cum  acknowledgement

Step 14: Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form

  • Candidates' need to confirm the choices through the candidate’s Login. After that, the Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-I will be displayed

​Step 15: Accepting to the offered seat by the candidate through his/ her log in 

  • Candidates will be allotted seats as per the choices filled by them. They can check the detailed seat allotment process of MAH MHMCT here. 

​Step 16: Reporting to the institute to confirm the admission

  • At last, candidates need to report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission.

MAH MHMCT Counselling Process 2024: Seat Allotment

The MAH MHMCT seat allotment 2024 will be done via the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) in online mode for the MAH MHMCT counselling process. The first provisional merit list will be released category-wise which will include below mentioned details:

Candidates are required to log in to check their seat allotment status. If students find that they have been allotted seats, they must download the allotment letter and go to the centre to select any option including:

  • Freeze the allocated seat 
  • Float the seat 
  • Slide the seat 
  • Lock the seat if satisfied 

The seat allocation is completely based on merit, choice of filling and seat availability. Check out more details below:

  • Check the seat allotment status: Students are required to enter their application ID and date of birth to check their seat allotment status. If they have been allotted seats, they must download the allotment letter. The allotment letter will include details related to the course and college. 
  • Report at the Admission Reporting Centres: Once the candidate has downloaded the allotment letter they have to visit their nearest Admission Reporting Centres to choose to either freeze, float or slide the allotted seats. 
  1. Freeze: The ‘Freeze’ choice has to be selected by the candidates if they are satisfied with the seat allotted to them and do not want to step up for the next counselling round. 
  2. Float: Students who want to upgrade the seat allotted to them after choosing a higher preferred course at any other institute have to choose the ‘float’ option. 
  3. Slide: The ‘slide’ option is for the ones who accept the allotted seat but are still looking to upgrade to a highly preferred course in the same institute. When the seat is upgraded, the prior allotment will stand cancelled. 
  • Report at the allotted institute: Students who are selected have to go to their respective institutes to confirm their seats and admission. They are required to complete the admission formalities and make fee payments.
