Predict NowThe National Exit Test, also called the NExT is conducted for MBBS graduates. The exam grants them a license to practice medicine in India. Also, this exam provides the candidates a gateway to pursuing a postgraduate degree in medicine such as MD or MS. The NExT exam is supposed to be conducted twice a year and there is no restriction on the number of attempts for the exam. For foreign nationals willing to practice and pursue medicine in India, the exam is expected to replace the FMGE exam. The Niti Ayog with the joint reinforcement of NMC (National MEdical Commission) the NeXT was brought into process and will be implemented in 2025.
As per the official notification, the NExT 2025 exam will be conducted by AIIMS Delhi for admission to postgraduate medical courses in Indian medical colleges and hospitals. The NExT exam will be conducted either by AIIMS or NBE ensuring transparency in the exam process.
