OUAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The OUAT 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in May 2025. OUAT 2025 eligibility criteria will be released along with the official notification by the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology.  To appear for the exam, candidates must apply for the exam. Before filling out the OUAT 2025 application form, aspirants must understand the OUAT 2025 eligibility criteria mentioned in the brochure.  

OUAT B.Sc(Hons.) courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Community Science require a PCM or PCB at +2 level or equivalent exam. BVSc, AH, and BFSc applicants must have a +2 in PCM Science or an equivalent course with a minimum mark of 50% according to OUAT 2025 requirements.

B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture/ B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture/ B.Sc (Hons) Forestry/B.Sc (Hons) Community Science

  • Qualification: Applicants must have at least completed their class XIIth studies from any recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% combining all the subjects
  • Age: Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of 31 December 2025.
  • Marks: Applicants must score at least 50% marks and for the reserved category  SC/ST/PwD/PMSSS (for B.Sc (Hons) Ag at CA, BBSR) / Kashmiri Migrant /Kashmiri Pundit (Non-Migrant) /Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrant) applicants, the minimum qualifying exam marks are 40%
  • Compulsory Subjects: Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics compulsorily at the qualifying exam level

B.V.Sc & A.H

  • Qualification: Applicants must have at least completed their class XIIth studies from any recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% combining all the subjects.
  • Age: Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of 31 December 2025.
  • Compulsory Subjects: Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology compulsorily at the qualifying exam level
  • Marks: Applicants must score at least 50% marks and for SC/ST/PwD/PMSSS (for B.Sc (Hons) Ag at CA, BBSR) / Kashmiri Migrant /Kashmiri Pundit (Non-Migrant) /Kashmiri Hindu Families. (Non-Migrant) applicants, the minimum qualifying exam marks are 40%

B.Tech Agricultural Engineering

  • Qualification: Applicants must have at least completed their class XIIth studies from any recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% combining all the subjects.
  • Age: Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of 31 December 2025.
  • Compulsory Subjects: Applicants must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics compulsorily at the qualifying exam level

How difficult is the OUAT exam?

OUAT's entrance exam is generally regarded as moderately difficult. All questions are based on the NCERT syllabus for classes 11 and 12, and cover physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.
 

Can a PCM student apply for OUAT?

Yes!! PCM students are eligible to apply to OUAT 2025. The OUAT paper consists of four subjects, which are physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology, and you have to choose either PCB or PCM for any three. PCB is generally easier and helps you rank well. However, if you are very good at mathematics, you can choose PCM.
