The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was established in the year of 1962 by the Government of West Bengal. WBJEEB was awarded the status of Statutory Body enacted vide "West Bengal Act XIV of 2014" named as "The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board Act, 2014". The board was established with the purpose of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission into all institutes for various departments including Medical, Engineering, Technological etc.

Candidates must note that they will have to select any 2 (two) of the following examination zones. Candidates will be allocated any of the exam centres on the basis of the choices filled by the candidates during the online submission. Any examination zone may be withdrawn if the adequate number of candidates are not available or under any certain circumstance. In that case, the candidate will be allocated an alternative examination zone.
