It is important to cover all the key topics in the XAT VALR section in order to succeed in the exam. While the XAT syllabus is not fixed and the types of questions vary, there are certain important topics on which questions are based every year. The weightage of Reading comprehension in the Verbal and Logical Ability section is high as 2-3 RC passages are asked, including a poem. The percentage of Reading comprehension in the VARC & LR portion is high. The RC passages are based on abstract subjects, literature, social and economic problems, science and culture, history, and fiction. The RC topics are not precisely mentioned in the XAT syllabus 2025. RC passages asked in the XAT exam have been observed to be moderately brief and short. Though it’s difficult, it’s not impossible to cover XAT Verbal & Logical Ability syllabus in one month. If you are well aware of the syllabus and have appeared for the exam earlier, then you can cover the syllabus easier, given that you invest sufficient time every day in the preparation. If you are new to the syllabus, then it’s advised to start your preparation early.
The time required to prepare for XAT VALR section depends on how well-versed a candidate is in this section. If you are a beginner, preparing for the XAT exam first time, then you should start your preparation 6-9 months before the exam.
