How is AP EAMCET Rank determined?

JNTUK prepares an AP EAMCET merit list to determine the ranks of the candidates based upon their marks secured in the AP EAMCET entrance exam. Generally, the AP EAMCET ranks are assigned in order of merit on the basis of the combined score obtained by allotting 75% weightage to marks secured in the AP EAMCET exam and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics of class 12 examination.

AP EAMCET Tie-breaking Rule 2025

For the preparation of the the AP EAMCET merit list, in case more than one candidates secures the same combined score, the following tie-breaking rule is employed by the conducting body-

• In case of a tie, candidates with higher total marks in the AP EAMCET exam will be allotted a higher rank.
• If a tie persists, candidates scoring higher marks in the Mathematics subject in the AP EAMCET exam will be provided a higher rank.
• In case a tie persists, candidates scoring higher marks in the Physics subject in the AP EAMCET exam will be allotted a higher rank.
• If a tie persists, candidates with a higher percentage of aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) will be allotted a higher AP EAMCET 2025 rank.
• If a tie still persists, it will be resolved on the basis of the date of birth wherein candidates who are older in age will be provided a higher AP EAMCET rank 2025.
