Phases of CSIR NET 2025 Selection Process

Filling out CSIR NET 2025 Application Form
The National Testing Agency will open the application portal after releasing a detailed notification. Candidates must carefully read the notification and check the eligibility criteria. The application will comprise registration, filling out form document uploading, and fee payment.
Release of Admit Card
Candidates successfully register at the portal within the specified timeline and access CSIR NET 2025 admit card from the official website. Applicants need to enter their login credentials to download the hall tickets.
Appear for CSIR NET Exam
CSIR UGC NET is administered by NTA twice a year in an online computer-based mode. The exam paper will be segregated into three parts namely Part A, B, and C. Part B will focus on general ability questions, part B will aim to test the learner's knowledge in subject-related questions and Part C will contain analytical questions.
Result Declaration
Results will be announced after accepting the answer key objections. Candidates can access the scorecard at the official website. Those qualifying the entrance can move ahead with the next selection process.
Release of CSIR NET Cutoff
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research will publish CSIR NET cutoff for five subjects including earth science, chemical science, life science, and physical science for different categories. Those clearing the cutoff will be eligible for JRF, Lectureship, and PhD.
Issue of CSIR NET Certificate
Qualified participants will receive a CSIR NET certificate made available on the official website. This certificate will remain valid forever for Assistant professor or lectureship applicants. However, for PhD aspirants, it will remain valid for 1 year and 2 years for JRF.
Apply to University
Candidates have to apply to their preferred university based on their path choice. If CSIR NET-qualified students want to enroll for PhD, they need to send the application to the specific university website. Based on their criteria, the concerned institute will shortlist the application.
Appearing for Interview
Based on academic performance and CSIR NET score, candidates will be called for a personal interview round. In the personal interaction round, the recruiters or concerned authorities will test the applicant’s knowledge based on their research proposal. For PhD applicants, a detailed outline of the thesis needs to be submitted. Those applying for lectureships have to answer questions related to teaching aptitude and research skills.
