The MH SET 2025 Selection Process is no different from other similar eligibility tests like HP SET, UGC NET, GSET, etc. The MH SET selection process 2025 will be carried out as per the rules and regulations framed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) just like previous years. The MH SET results 2025 will be released along with the final answer keys for each subject and cutoff pdf by the second week of July 2025. The selection process will start by the last week of July 2025 after the results will be released. The exam will be conducted on June 15, 2025, and the provisional answer keys will be made available in the first week of July 2025. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to secure the minimum cutoff aggregate in both Papers, I and II, to be deemed eligible for the position of Assistant Professor. As per the directive of UGC, only 6% of the total candidates who appear for the MH SET papers will be declared eligible for the Assistant Professor posts. The category-wise available qualifying slots for Assistant Professor eligibility will be computed using the prevalent State reservation policy.

The first stage of the MH SET selection process will require the candidates to obtain the minimum required cumulative cutoff aggregate to be held eligible for the Assistant Professor position. The minimum required cumulative cutoff aggregate has been mentioned below:

NOTE: The candidates must mention their category and subject properly in the MH SET application form on or before the last date to submit the application form or edit the online application form that expires. The qualifying cutoff marks and passing marks will be linked with the subject and category provided by the candidates.
As per the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in both the SET papers, the officials will prepare a merit list provided they also qualify the criteria mentioned in stage 1.
