FRI Entrance Exam Eligibility 2021

The Academic Council of Forest Research Institute Dehradun fixes the FRI entrance exam eligibility criteria every year. The aspiring candidates must fulfil the FRI entrance exam eligibility criteria point by point to qualify to appear in the entrance exam. The institute lay down the course-wise eligibility criteria for the FRI entrance exam aspirants. The FRI entrance exam is conducted for admission into four postgraduate science programmes and the aspirants must fulfil all the eligibility conditions for the programme in which they wish to take admission.

Technology

  • Applicants must have a B.Sc (Science) degree from any reputed university

  • Applicants must have studied Chemistry as one of the subjects at the qualifying exam level

  • B.E/B.Tech degree holders in Mechanical/Chemical engineering from a reputed university can also apply

  • Applicants with a minimum 50% aggregate in their B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech degree can apply

M.Sc. Environment

Management

  • Applicants with a B.Sc degree in any basic/applied science branch OR

  • Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Forestry OR

  • Applicants with a B.E/B.Tech degree in Environmental Science can apply

M.Sc. Wood Science &

Technology

  • Applicants with a B.Sc (Forestry) degree OR

  • Applicants with a B.Sc degree in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics can apply

M.Sc. Forestry

  • Applicants with a B.Sc degree in Agriculture/Forestry OR

  • Applicants with a B.Sc degree in Zoology/Physics/Mathematics/Geology/Chemistry/Botany can apply

In-service aspirants younger than 50 years of age as of 31st July of the year of admission/entrance exam are eligible to apply
