MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Result: Score Normalisation
The conducting body organised the MAH B.Ed and ELCT in multiple shifts. The candidates were given different sets of questions in each slot and there are chances that the difficulty level of the question papers may have been different. To overcome this situation, the Normalisation Method will be used so that aspirants neither benefit nor are at a disadvantage.
With the help of normalisation, the candidate’s scores across all the slots are compared.
What are Percentile Scores
Percentile scores are established on the relative performance of all the aspirants who take the entrance test. The marks secured in the exam are converted to a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of the test-takers.
The percentile score highlights the percentage of aspirants that have obtained equal to or below (similar or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in the test. Therefore the candidates who achieve the highest score in each session will obtain the same percentile of 100.
The percentile scores of an aspirant will be calculated as follows -
100* (Number of candidates who appeared in the session with raw score ≤ the score of the candidate) / Total number of candidates in the session
Here is the step-by-step process for normalisation and percentile score preparation -
Step 1: Distribution of Aspirants in 2 days and 2 slots per day
Candidates will be divided into 4 sessions randomly so that per session will have more or less equal number of examinees. These 4 sessions will be counted as follows. Please note if there are more shifts across more days, then the aspirants will be assigned batches accordingly.
It will make sure that no unfairness is there in the process of candidate distribution who appeared for the entrance exam.
Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2),
Session-3: Day-2 Batch 1 (D2-B1), Session- 4: Day-2 Batch-2 (D2-B2)
Step 2: Preparation of MAH B.Ed CET 2025 result for each session
The results for each session will be determined in the form of raw scores.
Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X Number of candidates who appeared from the session with raw score ≤ T1 score / total number of candidates who appeared in the session
Step 3: Compilation of Total score of MAH B.Ed CET
The percentile scores for the total raw score for all 4 sessions (mentioned above) as computed in Step 2 will be merged and be named the CET percentile scores, which will be employed in the compilation of MAH B.Ed CET 2025 results.
