MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET counselling process 2025 will be conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, across 4 rounds. Students who qualify the admission test will be eligible to take part in the counselling. To be considered for seat allocation, they must register for the counselling within the specified dates.

Initially, the conducting authority will issue the provisional merit list. Those who have registered and are on the merit lists will be able to exercise college choices, which will be considered while declaring the seat allotment. After seat allocation, the selected students must report to the allocated college for document verification and admission fee payment.

Assignment of Merit Number

All the eligible applicants who have uploaded the Application Form within the deadline for enrollment through CAP shall be delegated a merit number. The merit list will be created based on the CET Score, marks acquired in the qualifying examination, or any other set of criteria indicated in the rules.

Change of Marks due to Verification

Suppose the marks in the qualifying exam are altered as a result of verification and are duly approved by the concerned Appropriate Authority or Board. In that case, the same must be mentioned to the Competent Authority for admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) or its authorised representative before 5 PM on the day of the final merit list display.

Assignment of Merit Number For Admission to First Year B.Ed-M.Ed CET 2025 

The merit list for the aspirants will be organised on the marks or scores obtained by the applicants in the MAH-B.Ed-M.Ed CET 2025, which the competent authority will perform. 

Provided, however, in the event of a tie, the relative merit of candidates shall be determined in the following preference order and using the method of analysis outlined below -

  • Higher percentage of marks in the Qualifying Examination; 
  • Higher percentage of marks in HSC or Equivalent Examination; 
  • Higher percentage of marks in SSC or Equivalent Examination; 
  • Elder applicants

MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET 2025 Counselling: Centralised Admission Process (CAP Round I)

The below events are the main steps of the CAP round I of the MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET 2025 counselling process -

Candidate Registration and Document Submission

  • In this step, candidates who achieve the cutoff or more marks are allowed to register for 1st round of online counselling.
  • Aspirants have to complete the CAP application form as per the dates given by the conducting authorities. The counselling calendar will be published on the CAP portal.
  • The deadline may vary depending on the category of the candidates such as the MS / OMS, NRI / OCI / PIO / FNS and CIWGC.

E-verification of Documents

  • While completing the CAP application form, candidates have to upload relevant documents like mark sheets, education qualification certificates, Domicile certificates, Birth certificates, Reservation category certificates etc.
  • The expert committee will do the e-verification of the uploaded documents and the CAP application forms.

Alphabetical Merit List Release

  • After the candidate registration and online verification, the authorities declare the alphabetical merit list for round I.
  • The provisional lists are released separately for MS, OMS, Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory migrant applicants.
  • For those who make it to the alphabetical list for the CAP round I can record their grievances if any against the same, via the candidate login during the grievance resolving window.

College Option Form Filling

  • During the college option form filling process, candidates can exercise their web options.
  • Only those who are on the alphabetical list are eligible to participate in the choice filling event.
  • While announcing the final merit list and seat allocation for round I and II, the admission committee will consider these college options.
  • After round II, candidates again have to fill out fresh web options for CAP round III.
  • Applicants who wish to take part in round III and institutional round counselling, have to cancel their admission via the college login that they completed after receiving allocation in the 1st or 2nd round. 
  • Only then these candidates will be able to join rounds III and IV counselling.

Final Merit List Launch

  • The conducting body releases the CAP round I final merit list after reviewing the objections registered by the aspirants. 
  • The list will be available on the website of CAP.

Announcement of Seat Allotment

  • The candidates are allocated seats per their merit, college options, and available seats. The candidates can check the seat allocation status from the official website and access their allotment letter from the login.
  • They have to provide a copy of the allotment letter to the assigned institute for physical verification of documents during admission

Candidate Reporting and Seat Acceptance

  • If candidates receive allocation as per their 1st choice, then the allotment shall be final and they have to accept the allocation using the Freeze button.
  • These aspirants are ineligible for participation in the further CAP rounds.
  • They have to confirm their allotment via the payment of a one-time fee of Rs 1000 through the candidate login.
  • Candidates must then report to the allocated college for in-person document verification and confirmation of admission by paying the college fees.
  • Those who are happy with their college allotment even after receiving a seat not as per their first preference and wish to confirm the same also have to use the “Freeze” option. 
  • In cases, where the applicants have utilised the Freeze option but do not seek to confirm their admission later on, can go for “Betterment” and join CAP round II counselling.

MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET 2025 Counselling: Centralised Admission Process (CAP Round II)

Here are some important points related to the MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET 2025 counselling for CAP round II -

  • The details about the available seats for CAP round II will be published on the official website.
  • For applicants who received allocation apart from their first choice and still want to complete the admission process, there is a possibility. They are eligible for the CAP round II to secure a seat in the college of their choice.
  • Aspirants who have been allocated a seat in a college which is not among their first choice and have paid the seat acceptance cost, and selected the Freeze or Betterment option are qualified for this round. Given that, they have not reported to the assigned college.
  • The college options filled in CAP round I will not go in vain. They will be counted for the betterment option in CAP round II. After CAP round II, no further Betterment options will be given. The seat allocation made in this round will be final.
  • After the round II allocation declaration, the candidates must visit the designated college and complete the admission procedures.
  • Please note that rejecting the round II seat may not be a wise decision as there may not be enough seats for round III. Hence candidates are requested to be careful about accepting or declining the allocation.

MAH B.Ed M.Ed CET 2025 Counselling: Centralised Admission Process (CAP Round III)

  • Generally, the rounds III and IV registration is open after the CAP round I merit list is declared.
  • Once the registration is over for rounds III and IV, candidates can exercise their college options for the merit list and seat allotment of CAP round III.
  • Similar to CAP round I, at first the alphabetical merit list will be announced and then the final merit list.
  • After the seat allotment is published for CAP round III, the chosen candidates can report to the specified colleges for verification of documents, and pay the admission fee.
  • Those who obtained allocation as per their 1st choice in round I or II but have not confirmed their admission by reporting to the assigned institutes are not eligible for CAP round III. However, they can be a part of the institutional round (round IV) counselling.
  • If the assigned institutes have rejected any students due to any discrepancy in the application, they are qualified to join round III.
  • Candidates have to avail themselves of the “Freeze” option and pay the related charges if they want to confirm the allotment.
  • The college will cancel admission for applicants who fail to furnish the necessary documents / certificates via the login or online system. 
  • Such students can apply for round IV (the Institutional level round) as Open-category applicants if they meet the eligibility norms for that category.

Size of Documents to be Uploaded for MAH B.Ed-M.Ed CET 2025 Counselling

  • The photograph should be a passport-sized coloured image. The size of the image should be within 20 KB to 50 KB and in JPG / JPEG format.

  • The seat allotment in CAP Rounds will be executed per Inter-Se-Merit, options registered, and vacant seats, of applicants of Maharashtra State Candidature.
  • All applicants who are eligible in a given phase of allocation will be taken into account for a seat in that level, regardless of whether they were or were not assigned a seat in the preceding phase.
  • During any stage of the allotment process, the aspirant may receive an upward shift in the allotment based on their options and seat availability.
  • The provisional allotment proposed to the Aspirants will be shown on the website's allotment list. No personal correspondence or allotment letters will be sent to them in this respect.
  • Applicants who have been allotted seats shall retrieve the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter" and then confirm their admission by completing the further process suggested by the admission committee.
  • In the event that the applicant does not show up to accept the seat, the offer will be assumed to have been declined by them.
