Predict NowPU CET (UG) Merit list 2025 will be released following the counselling phase. Panjab University officials compiled the PU CET 2025 merit list based on the candidates' performance in the PU CET entrance examination and previous qualifying examinations. To prepare the merit list for the PU CET UG 2025 exam, varsity officials gave75% weightage to the marks obtained by candidates in the PU CET UG 2025 entrance exam and 25% weightage to the qualifying exam scores of the candidates. If candidates have valid extracurricular certificates, such as NCC or NSS certificates, university officials will take them into account when preparing the PU CET merit list 2025.
Panjab University publishes the PU CET 2025 Merit List of the candidates for the courses on the basis of attainment of their performance in the PU CET UG entrance test 2025. Those who achieve the minimum cut off marks (20% for general; 15% for ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC) will be eligible for PU CET UG counselling. PU creates the final merit list for the PU CET based on weightage and admission criteria. PU will publish a list of 'Qualified' and 'Not Qualified' candidates.
All the seats that remain vacant after this shall be filled strictly in the order of merit from the waiting list or through subsequent counselling before the expiry of the last date fixed for admissions by Panjab University.

The PU CET UG Merit List 2025 is prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and qualifying examination (10+2). PU does not release a separate cutoff of PU UG courses or programmes.

For the preparation of the PU CET UG Merit List for B.Sc. (Hons.) courses, the final merit list is prepared by considering 75% weightage of entrance exam, 25% weightage of 10+2 examination and over and above weightage of NCC, NSS, etc.
For those candidates who appeared in the two streams, a combined merit list is prepared for subject combination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics combination, and Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
PU uses the following formula to prepare the final combined PU CET merit list 2025:

The PU CET 2025 merit list is prepared according to the exam pattern and marking scheme set by Panjab University. The marks obtained by the candidate is calculated using the following formula:
T = (P – 1/4 Q) x 2
T = total marks
P = Number of correct answers
Q = Number of wrong answers
For a correct answer, candidates get +2 marks.
Negative marking: 1/4 weightage, i.e. 0.5 marks is deducted for an incorrect answer.

For a few courses in both UG and PG programmes, the cut-off percentage varies. In order to qualify for the PU CET UG 2025 exam, candidates must achieve a minimum score set by Panjab University. Candidates with scores equal to or higher than the cut off marks will only be considered for further consideration. To qualify for the exam, candidates must score at least 15%.
Panjab University will release the PU CET UG Cut off 2025 as a provisional merit list. The merit list will solely depend on the marks obtained by candidates in the PUCET. Panjab University will release the PU CET 2025 Rank List soon after declaring the PU CET UG 2025 Result in May or June 2025 on the official website along with the Test Scores.
The PU CET 2025 Results will be released in May, 2025.
Before the release of PU CET 2025 Results, an answer key will be made available by the concerned system.
