Predict NowPU CET UG Merit list 2025 will be released following the counselling phase. Panjab University officials compiles the PU CET 2025 merit list based on the candidates' performance in the PU CET entrance examination and previous qualifying examinations. To prepare the merit list for the PU CET UG exam, 75% weightage to the marks obtained by examinees in the PU CET UG 2025 while 25% weightage will be carried by the qualifying exam scores of the students. Those holding valid extracurricular certificates, such as NCC or NSS certificates, university officials will take them into account when preparing the PU CET UG merit list 2025.
Panjab University publishes the PU CET UG 2025 Merit List on the basis of attainment of their performance in the PU CET UG entrance test 2025. Those who achieve the minimum cut off marks (20% for general; 15% for ST/ SC/ PwD/ OBC) will be eligible for PU CET UG counselling. The university will publish a list of 'Qualified' and 'Not Qualified' students online.

For the preparation of the PU CET UG Merit List for B.Sc. (Hons.) courses, the final merit list is prepared by considering 75% weightage of entrance exam, 25% weightage of 10+2 examination and over and above weightage of NCC, NSS, etc.
For those candidates who appeared in the two streams, a combined merit list is prepared for subject combination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics combination, and Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
PU uses the following formula to prepare the final combined PU CET merit list 2025:

The PU CET 2025 merit list is prepared according to the exam pattern and marking scheme set by Panjab University. The marks obtained by the candidate is calculated using the following formula:
T = (P – 1/4 Q) x 2
T = total marks
P = Number of correct answers
Q = Number of wrong answers
For a correct answer, candidates get +2 marks.
Negative marking: 1/4 weightage, i.e. 0.5 marks is deducted for an incorrect answer.

For a few courses in both UG and PG programmes, the cut-off percentage varies. In order to qualify for the PU CET UG 2025 exam, candidates must achieve a minimum score set by Panjab University. Candidates with scores equal to or higher than the cut off marks will only be considered for further consideration. To qualify for the exam, candidates must score at least 15%.
Panjab University will release the PU CET UG Cut off 2025 as a provisional merit list. The merit list will solely depend on the marks obtained by candidates in the PUCET. PU will decide the PU CET UG Cut off 2025 after the release of the PU entrance exam 2025. The PU CET UG Cut off 2025 will determine a candidate’s credibility to appear for the counselling procedure.

Panjab University will release the PU CET 2025 Rank List soon after declaring the PU CET UG 2025 Result in May or June 2025 on the official website along with the Test Scores.
