ULSAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The ULSAT eligibility criteria 2024 is issued by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun (UPES). To check the details, candidates must refer to the official website. Common Eligibility Criteria of ULSAT 2024

Some of the common eligibility norms for ULSAT are mentioned below. Take a look:

  • Only Indian candidates are eligible to apply for ULSAT.

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from any affiliated Board of Education in India.

  • To be eligible for ULSAT, candidates are required to clear class 10 and 12 board examinations with a minimum of 50%.

  • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also take ULSAT. However, such candidates have to produce proof of their age in the form of their class 10 mark sheet. They are also required to produce all the original documents / certificates at the time of counselling / admission.

  • Candidate’s age should not exceed 20 years as of 1st July of the exam year. In case, a candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category, then, the age limit should be 22 years as of 1st July of the exam year.

ULSAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

UPES has not laid any age limit criteria for most of the programmes that it offers. There is no age limit criteria for ULSAT law programmes as well. However, 21 years of age is the right age to acquire programmes from UPES, certain factors such as the choice of course, years to complete the course etc matter a lot in this regard.

ULSAT Law Admission Through CLAT, LSAT India & Board Exams

ULSAT 2024 application form is available for LLM, 3 years LLB, and 5 years LLB. Apart from ULSAT, candidates can apply for admission in law courses at UPES via CLAT / LSAT / board exam scores of the current session. Around 20% of seats are filled through CLAT / LSAT / 10+2 scores and the rest of the seats are filled on ULSAT 2024 scores. One applicant can fill out the ULSAT 2024 application form for either of the admission pathways. 

Through CLAT

  • Candidates can apply for a 5-year LLB programme without appearing for ULSAT 2024 with a valid CLAT AIR up to 15,000. Such candidates will get a direct entry to GD & PI round.
  • Candidates with a valid CLAT PG rank &  minimum qualifying marks in Class X & XII are also eligible for the LLM programme with specialisation.

Through LSAT India

  • Candidates can apply for the LLB programme without appearing with a valid  LSAT India 2024 with a 60 percentile score. Such candidates will get a direct entry to GD & PI round.

Through Board Exams

  • Candidates who have scored 80% or above in both senior secondary and high secondary with 5 main subjects (Compulsory English) can be exempt from ULSAT, and get direct ancestry to GD & PI round for the 5-year LLB programme.
