  • Category I Questions - Correct answer will fetch 1 mark and for every incorrect response -1/4 marks will be deducted
  • Category II Questions - Correct answer will fetch 2 marks and no negative marking

WB JECA 2025 Marking Scheme

The latest WB JECA 2025 exam marking scheme is as follows -

  • Only a single correct option
  • +1 mark for each correct response
  • -1/4 marks for each incorrect attempt and multiple options selected 
  • No negative marking for unattempted questions
  • Multiple options can be correct
  • +2 marks if all the options are correctly marked
  • For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield no mark even if one or more of the chosen options is/are correct.
  • For partially correct answers, i.e when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, marks awarded = 2 x (no of correct options marked) / (total no of actually correct options)
  • No negative marking for unattempted questions
