Section wise XGMT 2025 Paper Analysis

The XGMT 2025 exam comprised four sections namely:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
  • Data Interpretation (DI)
  • Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VALR)
  • Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQGA)

The section-wise XGMT 2025 paper analysis has been updated below:

Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

  • This section was moderately to challenging, just like CAT papers from 2017 to 2019.
  • Key areas covered were number systems, algebra, arithmetic, modern math, and geometry.
  • To clear the sectional cutoff, getting 6-7 questions right should suffice.
  • A score of 30+ out of 60 would be excellent, having 50% accuracy.

Data Interpretation (DI)

  • This section was almost as challenging as the previous year.
  • There were two easy sets and two tough ones.
  • One set was of growth rate analysis, and the tougher set involved a detailed multi-category DI question similar to CAT problems.
  • Success here depended on the selection of the easier sets to attempt.
  • Answering 5 questions correctly (gaining 15 marks) was enough to clear the cutoff.

Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VALR)

  • It was the easiest section among all of the sections given in the examination.
  • Verbal ability questions were mostly simple, though a few synonyms and antonyms were tricky.
  • It dealt with logical reasoning related to sitting and other similar common subjects. This wasn't that hard.
  • 30 minutes was enough to attempt both sections.
  • If good accuracy is about 15+ questions, then a score would be strong.

Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQGA)

  • This section had 20 questions and a time limit of 20 minutes.
  • The questions involved simple GK in the form of Olympic medal winners, Bharat Ratna Awardees, and Nobel Peace Prize winners.
  • EQ consisted of scenario-based questions, which were less complex than those of GMAT's critical reasoning.
  • Answering 10-15 questions accurately will easily be at the cutoff.

Projected Cutoffs

  • Overall Score: 110-120 out of 270.
  • Sectional Breakdown:
  1. QA: 15-18 marks
  2. VA-LR: 40 marks
  3. DI: 12-15 marks
  4. GK & EQ: 30-35 marks

XGMT 2023 Sectional Analysis

XGMT 2023  difficulty level ranged from moderate to difficult. Notably, both slots had different levels of difficulty. Slot 2 was more difficult than slot 1, even though the questions were mostly different. The verbal ability section in both slots had most of the questions from one-word substitution, which gave candidates an opportunity to score well. However, Logical Reasoning was quite challenging.

Candidates who attempted the exam in Slot 1 had luck on their side, as the quantitative section was easier than expected. Most of the questions were from general mathematics which required less to no calculation. However, for Slot 2 candidates, the exam was unpredictable, as the questions and level of difficulty were completely different. The quantitative ability section had lengthy and difficult questions, which were time-consuming. However, other sections were of easy to moderate difficulty.
