Predict NowThe MH SET 2024 exam has been conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on April 7, 2024, as an offline (OMR-based) exam in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The overall difficulty level of the MH SET 2024 exam was moderate. There will be general objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering Teaching and Research Aptitude in MH SET Paper 1 which will be common for all the candidates. On the other hand, there will be 32 specific subjects in Paper 2. MH SET Paper 2 is subject-specific, i.e. candidates are required to appear for the subject that they had chosen while filling out the application form. It is mandatory for the test-takers to answer all questions in both papers. Only those candidates who appear and qualify for both papers will be considered for the Assistant Professor position. The MH SET Paper I assesses the cognitive abilities of the candidates that encompass comprehension, analysis, evaluation, understanding the structure of arguments, as well as deductive and inductive reasoning. It is also crucial for them to possess a general awareness about teaching and learning processes in the higher education system. Candidates must qualify for both Paper I and Paper II to become eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in various colleges and universities in the states of Goa and Maharashtra.

A total of 5-7 questions are asked from the Maths/Reasoning section. The highest number of questions are asked from this section.
The overall difficulty level of the MH SET Paper 1 can be estimated to range from moderate to high. The difficulty level of most of the subjects like Research Aptitude, Comprehension (English), Logical Reasoning, Maths/Reasoning ranged from easy to moderate, while the difficulty level of sections like People, Development and Environment and Data Interpretation ranges from moderate to difficult.
