CUCET Chandigarh University 2025: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Latest Update

CUCET is a University-level entrance test for granting admission to different courses conducted online by Chandigarh University (CU). CUCET exam is mandatory for taking admission to different undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the university in different streams such as engineering, agriculture, mass communication, animation, pharmacy, social sciences and management. Candidates can also avail scholarships through CUCET for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.

CUCET Chandigarh University Application Form 2024 can be accessed by the candidates till September 19, 2024 for Phase 2 admission of CUCET 2024. The candidates need to provide the basic details such as academic qualification, contact details, and personal details while filling out the application form of CUCET 2024. The documents must be submitted carefully as required and must be valid while applying for CUCET Chandigarh University Admissions. The candidates are also required to pay INR 1,000 as the application fee for CUCET 2024. CUCET 2024 application form can be purchased by the candidate’s offline also from university admission offices/ authorized centres by paying the application fee. CUCET Chandigarh University Application for Phase 1 ended on July 29, 2024.

Candidates interested for admission to Chandigarh University through CUCET 2024 are required to fulfil all the minimum eligibility criteria before filling CUCET application form. The eligibility criteria as prescribed for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses are as follows:

Eligibility for UG courses:

• Candidates must have obtained 50 per cent or more marks in their secondary Education (10+2) from a recognized Board (CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board).
• Students appearing for secondary education (10+2) in 2024 are also eligible to apply for the CUCET.

Eligibility for PG courses:

• Students looking for admission to postgraduate (PG) courses must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent marks.
• Candidates must have completed their graduation from the UGC recognised University.
• Admission to some post graduate courses require graduates in similar disciplines.

The concerned authorities of Chandigarh University have released the official CUCET 2024 syllabus for different streams. One can go through the CU CET Syllabus 2024 for the subjects they will be appearing for and find topics that have to be studied for the entrance examination. The subjects for engineering and biotechnology domain include topics from different subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The answer key will contain correct answers of all the questions asked in the entrance exam. Students will be able to raise objections against the answer key if they have any doubt or discrepancies regarding any answer key. 

The concerned authority will verify the objections raised by the candidates and release the final answer key. The applicants will be able to estimate their probable scores before the declaration of result with the help of the final answer key and they can also decide the choice of their course. 

Once the CUCET exam is conducted, Chandigarh University will release the CUCET 2024 result in real-time/on the same date with the help of the final answer key. As the exams are conducted in an online mode with the help of the latest software, it is possible by the management to release the result as soon as possible. All candidates who qualify the CUCET examination with a minimum of 30% marks are eligible for admission into the BTech courses offered by the University. The eligibility criteria for taking admission is almost similar to other courses as well. It may be noted that candidates whose names appear on the merit list as declared by the University will be intimated through email, according to the official website.

The CUCET  cut off 2024 for Phase 1 admission was released in an online mode and will be released through online mode for Phase 2 admission as well. Candidates must obtain CUCET  minimum cut off marks to be eligible for further admission procedure to different and wide range of courses that are available at Chandigarh University. Applicants will be able to participate in counselling procedures on the basis of their cut off marks. 

The cut off marks will differ for different courses opted by candidates. The cut off marks for various subjects will be decided by the university and the same will be intimated to the candidates. The CUCET will also decide cutoff marks for availing scholarships by the candidates for a wide range of courses.  The exam conducting authority will prepare the CUCET 2024 cut off list and amount of scholarships to be provided to the candidates after measuring various parameters.

CUCET Chandigarh University counselling 2024 was conducted for the first phase of admission.  The counselling process starts after a few days of declaration of result. The selected candidates through CUCET Chandigarh University will be called for the counselling session once their final results are published. The applicants will have to visit the respective institutes for participating in the counselling rounds if they have been selected. It will be mandatory for students to fill the admission form which can be accessed by the candidates online on the official website of the respective institute. 

During CUCET 2024 counselling, apart from the seat allotment as per the choice of the candidates, verification process will also be done for the qualified students as per the schedule notified by the institute. Candidates must carry all the required documents along with them for the purpose of the final selection process.. Those who failed to carry documents along with them will not be considered eligible for admission.

The candidates must note that in order to continue with the CUCET scholarships, the students should maintain the below listed criteria.

• Students should maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in their regular semester exams in their first attempt.
• Should not possess any grades of E, F, I or Not Qualified.
• No semester/year drops are allowed for Pharma Programme or any other program. The drop students  are not entertained for any kind of scholarships. 

If the candidates fail to meet the requirements, the scholarship will be discontinued. Reapplication in the next academic year will be allowed if they meet the criteria, however, only 50% of the initially sanctioned scholarship will be provided. It is to be noted that the students will not be able to swap scholarship schemes in the upcoming years and multiple scholarships cannot be availed simultaneously.
