JEE Advanced offers admissions to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), which are the premier engineering institutes in India. Apart from the IITs, some other institutes, such as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a few Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), also participate in JEE Advanced for admissions.
Yes, the participating colleges in JEE Advanced are the same for all categories of candidates. The admissions are based on the ranks secured in the examination, regardless of the category. However, there might be certain reserved seats or relaxation in eligibility criteria for specific categories in accordance with government norms.
The college allocation is done through a centralized counselling process, commonly known as JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. Based on your rank in JEE Advanced and choices filled during counselling, you will be allotted a seat in one of the participating colleges. The final college allocation depends on various factors, including the availability of seats and your rank in the merit list.
There are a total of 23 IITs and 9 institutes that participate in the JEE Advanced 2024 admissions process.
