JEE Main JoSAA round 1 seat allotment result 2024 has been released on June 20, 2024.
To continue with the JoSAA process and secure seats in IITs or NITs, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee and complete all the steps of the online reporting process in the same round of seat allocation.
For admissions into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, it is mandatory for general category candidates to have a minimum aggregate mark of 75%. Reserved category candidates need to secure a minimum aggregate mark of 65%. (Source: JoSAA 75 percent criteria 2023)
JEE Main NTA Qualifying Marks:
- GEN Category (Common Rank List): Tentative qualifying marks - 89.75
- GEN (EWS Category): Tentative qualifying marks - 78.21
- OBC-NCL: Tentative qualifying marks - 74.31
- SC: Tentative qualifying marks - 54
- ST: Tentative qualifying marks - 44

Seat allocation in JoSAA is based on the candidate's merit, preferences, and seat availability. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) releases the seat allotment results online after each round of counselling.
The JoSAA Seat Matrix 2024 is yet to be released. As per the previous seat matrix trends, candidates can expect 23,954 seats to be available in NITs, 7746 seats in IIITs and 8067 seats in GFTIs.
