Once the seat is allocated, the candidates will have to either Freeze, Float, slide or Withdraw their seat

• Float: This option is available to candidates who want to maintain their assigned seat while also upgrading their seat.

JEE Main 2025 Seat Allotment and Admission process - Important Points

• Candidates who have appeared for JEE Main 2025 will be offered admission based on their All India Rank (AIR) and the choices they filled during the seat allocation process.

• The candidates will be provided with the option to select their preferred branches/programs and institutes online at the appropriate time.

• The verification of documents will be carried out during the seat allocation process/admission.

• The conducting authority will verify various records such as age, category, identification, state of eligibility, disability of the candidate (if any), and the qualifying examination.

• Candidates unable to produce the relevant documents will be disqualified from admission

• Candidates belonging to Gen-EWS, OBC, ST, SC, and PwD categories will need to produce the original certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format at the time of JEE Main 2024 seat allotment process and admission.

Candidates who qualify for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs whose admissions are dependent on JEE Main session 1 ranks must have obtained at least 75% in their Class 12 exams or be in the top 20% of their respective Class 12 Board exams. In the event that a candidate who chooses to accept a seat at an IIT through "Online Reporting" in a specific seat allocation round is then given a seat in the NIT+System for the first time in subsequent rounds of seat allocation (if any), the NIT+ System will recheck the eligible candidates' documents and qualifications. Candidates must log into the JoSAA online portal in these situations to see if any questions have been raised. As the deadline approaches, candidates must reply online to the questions posed.
