JEE Main Session 1 Physics Syllabus 2025

JEE Main Physics Syllabus 2025: The National Testing Agency released the JEE Main Session 1 Physics syllabus for the upcoming exam scheduled from January 22 to 31,2025 on October 29, 2024. As per the latest JEE Main 2025 Physics Syllabus PDF, it has been divided into twenty units and has topics like Units of Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of motion, Work, Energy & Power, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Properties of Solids & Liquids, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Currents, Optics, etc. in Section A, whereas the Section B of the JEE Main Physics syllabus comprises the topics from experimental skills like Vernier Callipers and its use, Screw gauge, Metre scale, Youngโ€™s Module of Elasticity, etc.

The Physics Syllabus for JEE Main 2025 is divided into 2 sections: Section A (theory) and Section B (experimental skills). Latest Updates

The NTA closed the application correction window on February 28, 2025 for the session 2 exam. Candidates were allowed to make corrections by logging into their registered accounts using their application number and password. Earlier, the JEE Main application window for registration for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam was closed on February 25, 2025. On the other hand, the JEE Main Session 2 admit card will be released by the last week of March. The expected date for the release of the JEE Main Session 2 admit card is March 29, 2025. On the other hand, the JEE Main Session 1 exam results were released on February 23, 2025 and February 11, 2025, for Paper 2 and Paper 1, respectively.

JEE Main 2025 Physics Syllabus: Updated

NTA has made some changes in the Physics syllabus for JEE Mains and has reduced 22% of the syllabus for BTech. two chapters have been removed from the new syllabus, including Capacitors & Capacitance and Communication Devices. Apart from this, the chapters on Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Currents, and Optics have been merged into a single chapter.

The JEE Main Physics syllabus for Section B, also known as Experimental Skills, covers familiarity with basic approaches and observations of experiments and activities. It assesses candidates' ability to perform basic Physics experiments and interpret their results. Section B carries a weightage of 20% in the JEE Main Physics exam. JEE Main Physics Syllabus 2025: Weightage

Physics is one of the most important sections in JEE Main 2025 exam which is conducted for 30 questions out of a total of 90 questions. The JEE Main 2025 Physics Syllabus PDF weighs each unit differently, with Mechanics and Electrostatics receiving the highest weightage of 25% and 20%, respectively. From Current Electricity, the principles and applications of the potentiometer are omitted. The Electronic Devices chapter no longer includes transistors, and the Rotational Motion chapter excludes the distinction between rotational and translational motion. In Sound/Wave Optics, the Doppler Effect is removed. Several experimental topics, such as plotting a cooling curve, potentiometer-based EMF comparison and internal resistance determination, transistor characteristic curves, and the use of a multimeter for various checks, have been removed. Furthermore, the entire chapter on the Communication System has been deleted.
