TANCET 2025 Counselling

Candidates qualifying the TANCET exam 2025 will be eligible to participate in the TANCET counselling process. DTE provides centralized counselling for TN MBA/MCA admission, whereas TANCA/CEETA PG counselling conducts separate counselling for other CEETA PG courses. TANCET counselling assists government, government-aided, self-financing, and stand-alone colleges in Tamil Nadu with admissions. TANCET counselling process includes counselling registration, certificate verification, rank list creation, option entry, and seat allocation.

Candidates whose names appear on the TANCET rank list 2025 and have their documents verified will be able to proceed with choice filling. Following that, DTE will publish the TANCET 2025 seat allotment result round-wise based on the candidate's performance in the TANCET exam, choices filled and seat availability.

TANCET 2025 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the TANCET counselling procedure, candidates must meet the following qualifying requirements.

• Nativity: Applicants from Tamil Nadu will be eligible for TANCET counselling 2025. When registering for counselling, candidates must have their Tamil Nadu Nativity Certificate.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a valid bachelor's degree program of at least three years duration with a minimum of 50% aggregate (unreserved category) and 45% aggregate (reserved categories).
• Entrance Exam: Candidates must have passed the TANCET exam 2025.
• Age Limit: DTE does not apply an upper or lower age limit.

Documents Required for TANCET Counselling Process 2025

Candidate should attach self-attested copies of the following documents with the application

• Two mark sheets of class 10th & 12th
• Original TANCET 2025 and CEETA PG 2025 Rank card
• Permanent Community Certificate Card for BCM, BC, MBC & DNC, ST, SC and SCA (Permanent card / electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate)
• Online registration slip
• Transfer Certificate
• TANCET 2025 Hall Ticket / CEETA PG 2025 Admit card
• Nativity certificate
• Original SC / ST certificate 
• Certificate from District Medical Board for Differently Abled candidates (if Applicable).
• Self-addressed stamped envelope for counselling call letter
• A Self-addressed stamped acknowledgement card
• Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee certificate (If applicable)

TANCET 2025 Counselling Registration Process

Follow the steps given below to complete the TANCET 2025 counselling registration process. 

• Candidates should visit the TANCET counselling website.
• Select the 'Register Online Application' option.
• Fill in all the details.
• Enter your email address and phone number, as you did when you filled out the TANCET application form.
• DTE will send the credentials to the provided email address and mobile phone number.
• Enter your TANCET hall ticket number and the normalized score from your TANCET scorecard.
• Enter your information, such as the demand draft number, category, religion, educational qualification, and so on.
• After filling out the counselling form click the 'Submit' button.
• After clicking on the submit button, your registration will be completed
• Take a printout of the counselling form for further reference. 

TANCET Choice Filling 2025

Soon after the TANCET rank list is published, DTE commences the TANCET choice filling process. Along with the TANCET choice filling process, candidates are required to complete the payment of initial deposit. The initial deposit will be adjusted against the course fee to be paid after the TANCET 2025 seat allotment round. During the TANCET 2025 choice filling process, candidates are required to select the course and college preferences. DTE will allot a seat based on the preferences of the candidates and TANCET ranks.

• Candidates will be required to select colleges and the suitable branches from a list of all the colleges affiliated with TANCET 2025 during TANCET Counseling 2025
• During counselling, candidates are recommended to be aware about the college they are selecting
• The candidate's seats will be assigned based on available seats in the college and a prepared common merit list
• When TANCET seat allotment 2025 is made, candidates with higher rankings on the TANCET 2025 merit list will be given preference over other candidates
• If a candidate is unhappy with the college that has been assigned, he or she may attend the second and even third TANCET 2025 counselling session
• Candidates who missed the first or second phase of counselling will not be permitted to attend the subsequent  TANCET Counseling in 2025
• The colleges allotted in in the last round will be regarded as final

TANCET Counseling 2025 Fees

Candidates must present a demand draft for the counselling registration fee drawn in favour of ‘The Secretary, TN MBA / MCA Admissions – 2025, Government College of Technology.’ The demand draft will be payable at Coimbatore. The registration fee for TANCET counselling 2025 is given in the table below.

Important Information for TANCET 2025 Counseling Procedure

Candidates can check the important information about TANCET 2025 counselling given below.

• During the TANCET 2025 counselling procedure, the rank list will be issued depending on the exam scores of the candidates.
• Following each round of TANCET counselling 2025, candidates will be able to monitor the status of empty seats at each participating institute.
• Candidates who are dissatisfied with their chosen college will be permitted to participate in following rounds of TANCET 2025 counselling.
• Admission  to the participating colleges will be given based on the merit of the candidates who will attend counselling in accordance with the Government of Tamil Nadu's reservation guidelines, while others cannot allege any right to admission
• A candidate can only receive an allotment for one programme
• Candidates must access the Call Letter on the Anna University website by entering their application number, name, and date of birth

TANCET Supplementary Counselling Round 2025

TANCET counselling 2025 will be held in one round by the DTE, Chennai. Following that, DTE begins the additional counselling round. TANCET supplemental counselling will be held to replace the unfilled seats left over after general counselling. The additional counselling round for the TN MBA and MCA seats is held offline. Candidates who did not finish the choice-filling procedure are also eligible for supplemental counselling.

TANCET SCA to SC Counselling

DTE switches SCA category seats to SC category after all rounds of TANCET counselling. Candidates from the SC category will be eligible for this round of counselling. Candidates from the SC category who have received a prior allocation will be eligible for the SCA to SC counselling round. Colleges that will fille the SC category seats but not the SCA category seats can grant an allotment to SC candidates in this round of counselling. SCA to SC counselling will also be done offline.

TANCET 2025 Reservation Criteria

Admission to the participating colleges will be granted based on TANCET results in seven distinct socioeconomic groups. Candidates who did not specify a category on the TANCET application form 2025 will be evaluated for the Open Competition category. Tamil Nadu's DTE has established the following reservation criterion for admission that will be taken into account during the TANCET 2025 counselling process.
