UP B.Ed JEE 2024 Detailed Counselling Process
Only candidates with a rank in the UP B.Ed JEE 2024 merit list are eligible to participate in counselling.
UP B.Ed JEE 2024 Counselling Rounds
The UP B.Ed JEE counselling is held in several stages. Below we have shared the details -
- Main counselling (Round 1) - This is further divided into Phase – 1 and 2
- Pool counselling (Round 2)
- Direct admission by College (Round 3)
- Direct admission on minority seats (Round 4)
Requirements for Participation in Counselling
The following would be required for counselling registration:
- Bank account information for any fee refunds.
- Only the Candidate or his or her father or mother should have access to the account. If the prospect is not allocated a seat, the advance college fee paid in the first counselling and the full college fee paid in pool counselling will be refunded only to the candidate's account.
- Candidates are urged not to report their Jandhan account details because refunds to such accounts will be impossible due to credit limit restrictions.
- Students must supply their account number, account holder's name, IFSC code, bank name, and branch name.
- The candidate must upload an image of a cancelled cheque leaf or the front page of a passbook containing the above-mentioned account details in JPG / JPEG format, with a file size of 100 KB.
- Candidates who are taking part in the qualifying examination are required to provide the mark sheet of the same at the time of UP B.Ed JEE's counselling registration.
- To do so, they would need a scanned copy of their qualifying examination mark sheet from 2024.
- Original mark sheets will be acknowledged only.
- No provisional / internet mark sheet will be approved unless it is verified by the Principal of the relevant college or the Registrar / Controller of Exams / Authorised person of the relevant University.
These guidelines are only intended to inform candidates about changes in the process. There may be some changes made in conjunction with the counselling schedule.
Main Counselling (Round 1: Phase 1 and Phase 2)
Step 1: Registration
- The counselling process would be divided into phases based on state rank. Only candidates from the announced state rank range would be eligible to participate in that phase.
- Candidates must log in with the login details. If they have lost or forgotten their password, they can reset it using the link provided on the website.
Counselling fee and Advance College fee payment
- Candidates who have finished the counselling registration process must pay Rs 5650 (Rs 650 as counselling fee and Rs 5000 as advance college fee) via online payment methods.
- If the candidate is not offered a seat, the advance college fees of Rs 5000 will be refunded to their provided account information.
- If a candidate is offered a seat but does not accept it, the advance college fees of Rs 5000 will not be refunded.
- If the candidate is offered a seat and accepts it, the amount will be deducted from the college fee.
- If the advance college fee exceeds the allotted college fee, the allotted college will refund the difference.
- The Rs 650 counselling fee is non-refundable.
Step 2 : Choice Filling
- Only registered students will be called to fill the available positions.
- Before making a selection, candidates must confirm the following.
- Candidates must select "Yes" for Sanskrit B.Ed. Colleges if they have Sanskrit in all three years of graduation.
- Candidates who have registered for counselling must fill out their preferences.
- Candidates may provide as many options as they choose.
- Candidates are recommended to provide more options to prevent allotment rejection.
- Multiple sessions can be used to complete choices. Before logging out, you can store your preferences.
- The candidate's choices are definitive and cannot be modified after they have been locked. As a result, candidates must fill out a sufficient number of college options in the required order of preference.
- If a contender has entered choices but has not locked them till the last date for choice filling has passed, they will be automatically locked before seat allotment.
Step 3: College Allotment
- College selection will be based solely on the candidate's state rank as well as the colleges they indicated in preferred order during counselling.
- Only aided and government colleges will be subject to the state reservation policy. The seat allotment outcome will be available exclusively through the candidate's login and nowhere else.
- In Aided, Government, and Self-Financing Colleges, EWS Reservation will be followed.
Step 4: Provisional Allotment cum Confirmation letter download
- Candidates who have been assigned a college must get the Provisional Allotment and Confirmation Letter from the UP B.Ed JEE 2024 website.
- Suppose the college fee is higher than the advance college fee. In that case, applicants must pay the difference online within three days of college allocation before downloading the Interim Allotment cum confirmation letter.
- They can get this provisional Allotment cum Confirmation letter if the college fee is less than the advance college charge.
- The extra fee would be returned to the applicant by the college. If the college fee exceeds the advance college fee, SC, ST, and EWS candidates must pay the remaining balance payment.
Step 5: Report to the allotted college
- The applicant must report to the college of choice within three days after being assigned, with all original documents and a temporary allocation cum confirmation letter.
- The assigned college's principal will verify the applicants' original documents.
- If a candidate's papers are not deemed to be valid by the college authorities, their candidature would be rejected.
Documents required for reporting
Applicants should bring both the original and a self-certified duplicate of the documents mentioned by the counselling authorities.
Pool Counselling (Round 2)
Pool counselling fills unfilled seats in colleges after the first round of counselling is completed.
Pool Counselling - Step 1 - Registration
Only applicants who did not participate in the first round of counselling/ were rejected/ were not assigned a college in round 1/ failed to gain admission against the allocated seat, are eligible for pool counselling. Aspirants who were assigned a seat in round 1 but did not pay the seat confirmation cost will be required to pay the entire fee if they participate in pool counselling (round 2). The advance college fee they paid in round one will not be returned.
The pool counselling procedure is the same as the first counselling procedure. Candidates must register, pay the registration fee and the entire college fee, and then select options. Candidates must log in with their credentials. If they have forgotten their password, they can reset it using the link supplied.
When users log in, they must provide their bank account information. Aspirants who appeared in the qualifying examination in 2024 have been asked to enter their marks and provide a scanned mark sheet copy.
Pool Counselling - Step 2 - Counselling fee and Full College fee payment
The counselling fee is non-refundable. They must also pay the full college fee. This payment will not be returned if the candidate is assigned a college.
Pool Counselling - Step 3 - Choice Filling
Applicants who have registered for UP B.Ed JEE counselling must fill out their options based on their preferences. The candidate's choices are permanent and cannot be modified after they have been locked. As a result, individuals must fill out a sufficient number of college options in the appropriate preferred order. If a person submits choices but does not lock them before the last date for choice filling, they will be locked before seat allotment.
Pool Counselling - Step 4 - College Allotment
College allocation will be based solely on the candidate's state rank as well as the colleges they selected in priority order during counselling. The state reservation policy will be followed for pool counselling. In Aided, Government, and Self-Financing Colleges, EWS Reservation will be applicable. The result of seat allocation will be revealed upon candidate login.
Pool Counselling - Step 5: Provisional Allotment cum Confirmation letter download
Candidates who have been assigned a college must get the Provisional Allotment and Confirmation letter from the UP B.Ed JEE 2024 website.
Pool Counselling - Step 6: Report to the allotted college
Like the first round counselling process, candidates have to report to the allocated college on the specified schedule, where their documents will be verified as well.
Direct Admission by College (Round 3)
This round of counselling will be completed at the college level. Detailed guidelines for the process to be followed by participating colleges will be posted on the Bundelkhand University website. Only candidates with a valid state rank are eligible to participate in this round of counselling. Candidates can be admitted to any college if seats remain available after the first and pool counselling rounds.
Direct admission is available to the following candidates:
- Those who were not accepted to any college during the first round of admissions.
- Those who have not been enrolled to any college through pool counselling.
- Those who did not take part in the counselling procedure.
The college will validate the candidate's information from the Bundelkhand University website and offer direct admission to applicants who meet the eligibility requirements. Candidates must be verified by providing the OTP issued to their registered and alternate mobile numbers on the UP B.Ed JEE 2024 counselling platform.
Candidates must pay Rs. 650 in counselling costs to participate in the direct admission process. The fees will be paid at the college level.
Direct Admission on Minority Seats (Round 4)
This round may be conducted by the conducting body depending on various factors. Minority colleges have the right to admit students to minority seats by organising their entrance examinations; however, many minority colleges do not hold their examinations and instead complete their admission process by enrolling students from the merit list of applicants who appeared in the UP B.Ed JEE. They then send the list of accepted students to be verified.
