ATMA 2025 Exam is a national-level test conducted for admission into various Management colleges in India. Candidates seeking admission in postgraduate management courses corresponding to MBA, PGDM, MCA, MCM, etc must appear for the ATMA 2025 exam. ATMA is conducted four to five times a year, especially in February, May, and July. Candidates qualifying for the ATMA 2025 exam become eligible for enrollment in the Indian Management Schools. Work Experience

Possessing work experience is not mandatory for taking the ATMA exam. Both working and non-working candidates are eligible to apply for the exam.

Number of Attempts

  • AIMS conducts the ATMA exam four to five times a year. 
  • Candidates have the privilege to attempt the ATMA exam any number of times. 
  • For admission, the score of the latest ATMA exam will be taken into consideration.
  • Candidates who have applied for the ATMA exam earlier can re-apply.

Other Eligibility Conditions

  • Participating institutes can have slightly different eligibility conditions for admission to their postgraduate courses. The criteria may also differ as per the course.
  • Candidates applying to MBA/PGDM courses can pursue their graduation in any stream, but candidates applying to other courses like MCA must possess a BCA degree.
  • The qualifying mark in ATMA is 50%. The cut-off percentile at top colleges is generally 70-95 in ATMA for shortlisting candidates. The shortlisted candidates are then called for group exercises and personal interviews.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for ATMA 2025

The detailed eligibility criteria for ATMA 2025 examination are elaborated below:

  • Only those candidates who are citizens of India are eligible to take ATMA 2025 examination. Also, there is no domicile restriction. 
  • Bachelor’s degree is a mandate for all the candidates appearing for ATMA 2025.
  • Candidates who are in their final year can also apply for the ATMA 2025 examination. But that would be provisional admission. However, the admission to management courses in various B-Schools that accept ATMA 2025 scores are based on the qualifying status of the applicants for the UG degree.
  • All the applicants must have at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in a three-year or four-year UG degree. Without the minimum eligibility marks, the candidates will be ineligible to register for ATMA 2025. However, the minimum qualifying marks for a UG degree vary from institute to institute.
  • If any candidate has a backlog in graduation, he is still eligible to apply for the ATMA 2025 exam if he/she has secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation.
  • The previous university should be recognized by UGC. 
  • Candidates who have completed CA can also apply.
  • Candidates who appeared for the ATMA examination in 2023 or earlier can also apply for ATMA 2025.
  • There is no age restriction on the applicants. No upper age limit has been prescribed by AIMS for management admissions. 
  • Work experience is not necessary to apply for ATMA 2025 management admissions.

  • Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. 

Institute of Management Study (IMS)

Candidates possessing valid scores in the ATMA exam are eligible to apply.

IIHMR University

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation can also apply provisionally. It is mandatory for such candidates to provide evidence of having completed the graduation within two months after the session begins.
  • Candidates with relevant work experience are given preference over candidates with no work experience.

St Francis Institute of Management and Research (SFIMAR)

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
  • Qualifying for the ATMA Exam and possessing valid scores.

ATMA Reservation Criteria 2025

AIMS does not specify any reservation rules for the ATMA exam besides offering relaxation in minimum qualifying marks and application fees. Concession in fees is available for:

  1. For Women: 25% Concession in Fees
  2. For North Eastern States of India: 50% Concession in Fees
  • SC/ST or OBC category students cannot avail themselves of a concession in fees. 
  • Reservation standards might differ in different participating institutes, however, in this case, candidates need to write about the category in ATMA Application Form.
  • No subsequent application to claim reserved seats will be entertained later.
