About JCECE BSc Agriculture 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The official notification for the JCECE exam was released on 19th April 2025 on the official website. The JCECE 2025 eligibility criteria contain details of the student's age, category, nationality, and academic qualifications.

  • Intermediate in Science (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics from a recognized Board/University.
  • Applicants' age must be between 17 and 22 years on or before the 1st July of the year of his/her admission to the course and maximum of 5 years relaxation will be given to the reserved cateogary candidates.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry

  • Intermediate in Science (10+2) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University

  • Applicants' age must be between 17 and 22 years on or before the 1st July of the year of his/her admission to the course and maximum of 5 years relaxation will be given to the reserved cateogary candidates.

B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering)

  • 10+2/Intermediate with PCM (P- Physics, C-Chemistry, M-Mathematics) from a recognized Board/University
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 22 on or before July 1st of the year of admission to the course, with a maximum 5-year age relaxation granted to reserved category candidates.

B.Tech.(Dairy Technology)

  • 10+2/Intermediate with PCM (P- Physics, C-Chemistry, M-Mathematics) from a recognized Board/University

B.F.Sc. (Bachelor of Fisheries Science)

JCECE Domicile Criteria 2025

Students must meet the domicile requirement set by the Raj Bhasa, Government of Jharkhand. This means they need to be permanent residents of Jharkhand. To prove this, they must have a valid Local Resident Certificate issued by the appropriate authority. They need to present this certificate during the JCECE counselling process.

JCECE Disabled Eligibility Criteria

Students who have a disability of at least 40% in the following areas can reserve a seat in participating institutes:

JCECE BSc Agriculture Reservation

Jharkhand's current reservation policy applies to all government and non-government institute courses. Students claiming reserved seats MUST present original Caste or Income & Assets certificates during counselling/admission. Acceptable issuing authorities for these certificates are Circle Officer, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State. Certificates from any other authority will not be accepted, and the applicant will be considered under the General category.

  • As per notification dated 28.06.2016, a minimum of 2% of ST seats are reserved horizontally for eligible Primitive Tribal Group candidates not on the general ST merit list.
  • BC – I & BC – II students must submit/show a Caste certificate that explicitly mentions the Non-Creamy Layer status during counselling/admission.
  • Caste certificates for BC – I & BC – II students are valid ONLY if they belong to the Non-Creamy Layer, which must be stated on the certificate.
