MHT CET Merit List 2025: Tie-breaking Rule
The MHT CET merit list tie-breaker policy will be used in a scenario where two or more candidates have scored the same marks in the entrance exam. The MHT CET 2025 merit list tie-breaker methodology will be employed in the following manner.
Engineering & Technology and Planning
The tie-breaking methodology for Engineering & Technology and planning will be employed in the following order of merit:
1. The highest marks secured by the candidates at CET Mathematics
2. The highest marks secured by the candidates at CET Physics
3. The highest marks secured by the candidates at CET Chemistry
4. Higher cumulative aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the qualifying exam
5. Higher marks secured in Mathematics at the HSC level
6. Higher marks secured in Physics at the HSC level
7. Higher aggregate at the HSC level
For Foreign Candidates
Higher marks in Mathematics at the HSC level
Higher marks in Physics at the HSC level
Higher aggregate at the HSC level
Engineering and Technology Lateral Entry
1. Higher aggregate secured by the candidates at the SSC level
2. Higher marks in Mathematics at the SSC level
3. Higher marks in Science at the SSC level
4. Higher marks in English at the SSC level
Pharmacy
Higher marks secured in Biology/Mathematics at the CET
Higher marks secured in Physics at the CET
Higher marks secured in Chemistry at the CET
Higher cumulative marks obtained by the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology at the qualifying exam level
Higher marks in Mathematics/Biology at the HSC level
Higher marks in Physics at the HSC level

1. Candidates must have cleared the HSC examination with Science
2. Candidates must have cleared the HSC examination with Home Science

4. Candidates must have cleared the HSC examination with Commerce
Architecture
Higher marks obtained by the candidates in the JEE Main Paper II (after normalisation of scores is done) or in NATA
Higher marks in Mathematics at the SSC level
Higher aggregate at the SSC level
