Some of the subjects required in the SEED Examination are visualization ability, perceptual ability, observational ability, reasoning ability, problem solving ability, basic knowledge of art, culture, craft, designing, environment, science, mathematics, and a knack for creativity.
Students who wish to sit for the SEED Exam 2025 must hold a 10+2 diploma or its equivalent, or a State Board of Technical Education approved 10+3 diploma. Furthermore, candidates who are appearing for the final examinations for their 10+2 grade or the 10+3 diploma are also eligible to apply, as long as their results are available by June (the year of their admission).
The key to preparing for the SEED Exam 2025 is to start early. SEED is a competitive exam and aspirants from all across the country apply for this design examination. The registration fees for the SEED Exam 2025 as prescribed by the Symbiosis Institute of Design is INR 3,250. The breakdown of the registration fee for the SEED Exam is as follows: INR 2,250 for SEED Exam and INR 1,000 for the Symbiosis Institute of Design. The payment of these registration fees is supposed to be done online on the official website of the conducting institute.

Symbiosis Institute of Design usually offers B.Des Admission through SEED scores. However, in 2020 and 2021 candidates were granted admission based on Online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction Rounds. Students need to appear for the aforementioned admission processes in order to get admission in B.Des at Symbiosis Institute of Design. Without qualifying them, they cannot get admission to the institute.
