UCEED Participating Colleges 2026

IIT Bombay has released an updated list of the UCEED participating colleges 2026 with the release of the UCEED 2026 registration. Seven colleges have been confirmed to participate, including the addition of IIT Roorkee in the last edition of the test, offering as many as 225 seats into the B.Des program together. Admission to the B.Des program in these UCEED 2026 participating institutes will be based on the UCEED 2026 merit list. Additionally, there are a total of 26 result sharing institutes for UCEED 2026 exam.

One of the major differences between the UCEED participating colleges and result-sharing institutes is that the former will participate in the Joint Admission Process or Centralised Counselling organised by IIT Bombay. The UCEED 2026 counselling process for admissions at participating institutes will be done by the respective institutes themselves, and candidates have to apply separately with the obtained UCEED 2026 scores at these participating institutes. IIT Bombay will conduct UCEED 2026 on January 18, 2026.

Seat allocation to IITs has increased over the previous year. Candidates can compare the seats available in BDes courses at institutes that accept UCEED scores for admission in the previous year to the seats available through UCEED in the table below:

• 5% of seats in each category are reserved for PwD candidates. 
• PwD candidates will be considered for seat allotment only in their birth category quota.

Important Points to Remember While Selecting UCEED Participating Colleges 2026

A little bit of research should be done about the colleges by the students regarding the history of the college, and affiliation of the college before deciding.

• Candidates should make sure that they have some idea about the interview criteria once they get their UCEED scores.

• Every college has a cut-off list for the exams, so the candidates should know if their score has made it to the cut-off of their desired college or not.

• Candidates should have all the required documents while taking admission to a particular college. A lack of even one document can result in a candidate losing his/her seat.
