HPU B.Ed CET Eligibility Criteria
To appear for HPU B.Ed CET 2025, take a look at the eligibility criteria -
- Candidates seeking admission to conventional two-year B.Ed courses offered under the HPU B.Ed CET may register online for the admissions test.
- Applicants must have secured at least 50% or 5.0 CGPA or Grade B in the Bachelor's Degree (Medical/ Non-Medical/ Commerce/ Arts) and/ or Master's Degree in the Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce.
- Applicants with 55% or 5.51 CGPA or Grade B+ in Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Science and Mathematics or any other qualification equivalent are also qualified to apply for HPU B.Ed CET.
- Admission to the programme requires at least 45.00 per cent or 4.51 CGPA in the case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically handicapped categories in the aforementioned Bachelor's/ Degree Master's and 50% or 5.01 CGPA or Grade B for Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university.
- Under no circumstances will a relaxation of even 0.01 per cent in the above-mentioned percentage of marks be permitted.
- Candidates who have completed their last year of Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Engineering / Technology or any other qualification equal thereto and whose results have not yet been released can also apply for the HPU B.Ed CET.
- However, admission of such applicants will be contingent on the provision of a certificate of qualifying examination with the required percentage of aggregate marks in the aforementioned examinations as specified in the prospectus' eligibility condition.
- If an aspirant does not satisfy the eligibility requirements, they will be denied admission to the B.Ed course.
HPU B.Ed CET Reservation Rules
The Himachal Pradesh University has set some reservation rules for those appearing for HPU B.Ed CET. Take a look at the reservation norms below:
- Seats shall be reserved for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Ex-servicemen/ Wives/ Widows/ Wards of Ex-Servicemen/ Wives/ Widows/ Wards of Defence Personnel and Physically Handicapped sections following Himachal Pradesh Government guidelines.
- 85% of the seats have been allocated for bonafide/ domicile citizens of Himachal Pradesh, with the remaining 15% open to candidates from other states/ UTs.
- At the time of admission, all candidates must present a genuine Himachali/ Resident certificate.
- 10% of the 85% of state allocation seats in non-government self-financing institutions will be treated as management quota seats and will be excluded from the university's centralised counselling.
- The institute's management shall fill management quota seats transparently based on the merit of the entrance examination through its counselling. There will be no reservations concerning the statutory management quota seats.
- The basic qualifying criteria will be the same as for other students.
HPU B.Ed CET 2025 Age Limit
There is no upper age constraint for candidates appearing in HPU B.Ed CET 2025. However, candidates should check all the eligibility norms before filling out the application form.
HPU B.Ed CET 2025 Application Form
Candidates can only apply for HPU B.Ed 2025 online.
- Before applying, applicants must have a scanned copy of their most current photos with the right specifications. The image must be a passport-size colour photograph shot in full facial view straight facing the camera, with no shadows or red eyes.
- The scanned photograph and the aspirant's signature should be no larger than 100 kb in size.
- Photographs and signatures should be in.jpg or.jpeg format.
- Students must click on the "Under Graduate" tab to access the B.Ed Online application form.
- Then, click on the B.Ed Course to fill out an online application form that comprises subsequent web pages such as Personal Data, Academic Qualification Details, Registration/ Application Summary, Fee Payment, Submit Reference Number, and Application Form.
- After entering the personal details, the system will create a Unique Registration Number and a password.
Steps for Making HPU B.Ed Entrance Application Fee Payment:
Online Mode of Payment
- When the aspirant has decided on an online payment method, they must "Click on Make Payment."
- On the following page, applicants must select the payment gateway and "Click on Continue" to proceed with payment.
- Candidates must select one of the available alternatives using any Debit/ Credit Card, an online payment gateway, and Net Banking, among others.
- If the payment is successful after using one of the aforementioned options, the applicant will be sent a message with all of the details and an e-receipt.
- They must save the bank/ net banking transaction receipt with the Application Registration Number for future reference.
- After that, click the Submit button to finish submitting the form.
- Before providing the final data on each web page, the individual must confirm that all of their information is valid.
- Once a candidate clicks the final submission button on their application page, they will be unable to amend or change the information they have provided.
- Following successful fee remittance, the system will generate the confirmation message of the online form for final submission, and a message will be delivered to the registered phone number.
- Applicants must follow the on-screen instructions to print the confirmation message of the online application. They must retain the confirmation document and evidence of fee payment for future reference.
HPU B.Ed Application Fee
The HPU B.Ed CET application fee is based on the category of the candidates and the fee varies according to the categories.
- Any application form that is submitted without the entrance fees is regarded as incomplete and will not be reviewed.
- Fees for General/ General (EWS)/ OBC & their subcategories are Rs 1300 and Rs 750 for SC/ ST & their sub-categories BPL/ IRDP.
- Aspirants must submit the fees within the deadline after which the application link will be disabled.
HPU B.Ed CET Admit Card
The HPU B.Ed CET admit card is an important document and candidates should download the hall ticket as soon as it releases.
- The exam's organising body tentatively releases the HPU B.Ed CET admit card a few days or weeks before the exam. Those who have finished the application procedure successfully can obtain the admit Card from the official site. Aspirants will be able to download the HPU B.Ed CET Admit Card directly from the official website.
- The university will make the admit cards for the HPU B.Ed CET available for download on the university site.
- Please keep in mind that hall tickets / admit cards will not be mailed to candidates. The admit cards posted on the internet are provisional and do not guarantee the candidate's ultimate eligibility for admission to the programme.
- The Roll Number, Name, Father's Name, Category, Photograph, Date, Time, and Location of the Entrance Test will all be included on the admit Card. The candidate should carefully study the admit Card details.
- In the event of a discrepancy, the candidate must notify the institution immediately and pay the required charges.
- In such instances, participants would show up to the exam with their previously downloaded admit card. However, the institution will take the required steps subsequently to address factual mistakes in the records.
- No applicant will be permitted to take the exam if they do not have an admit card, and the university will not be held liable for this. Candidates are encouraged to keep their admit cards in proper condition until their admission to the B.Ed course is complete.
HPU B.Ed CET Exam Pattern

HPU B.Ed CET Syllabus
The syllabus for the HPU B.Ed CET is based on graduate-level expertise. Questions from the following subjects are included in the HPU B.Ed CET exam:
- General Awareness
- Knowledge of National Commission and Committees on Education
- Teaching Aptitude and Attitude
- Language and Comprehension
- Logical Reasoning
HPU B.Ed CET Result and Merit List
After the release of the HPU B.Ed CET 2025 result, the HPU B.Ed CET merit list will also be published within a week. The merit list will contain the names of the candidates who have cleared the entrance exam and can participate in the counselling round.
- Before the results are announced, the answer key submitted by the examiners will be evaluated by a committee of subject experts.
- The panel will also identify any printing mistakes in questions and answer keys and make any relevant recommendations.
- The Moderation Committee's judgement/ recommendations are final, and the outcome and its category-based merit list will be announced as scheduled.
- The results of all applicants who took the entrance exam are announced and made accessible on the university website.
- The overall and category-wise merit lists will be generated based on the minimum qualified marks achieved in the entrance test, with tie-breaker situations resolved as per protocol.
- The Controller of Examinations will create and notify a cumulative category-wise merit list based on the scores of all qualified applicants in the Entrance Test, which is posted on the University website.
- Admission shall be granted subject to the completion of the specified qualifying requirements and the availability of seats in the concerned colleges at the time of counselling/ admission in the institution.
- HPU B.Ed CET has a minimum qualifying mark of 35%. (i.e. 53 out of 150).
- The minimum qualifying scores for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Physically Handicapped applicants must be 30%. (45 out of 150).
Resolving the Tie:
The following procedure will be used to dissolve the tie and determine the merit -
- Suppose two or more individuals received equal aggregate marks in the B.Ed entrance test.
- In that case, their inter-se merit for enrollment to the programme will be decided based on the marks/ result achieved by the applicants in the sequence of section-wise performance in the entrance test, such as - Teaching Aptitude & Attitude, Language & Comprehension (Hindi & English), General Awareness (Mainly HP & India), Knowledge of National Commission & Committees of Education, and Logical Reasoning.
- The older applicant will be favoured if the tie remains after following the criteria above.
HPU B.Ed CET Counselling
Participants who are on the merit list must join the counselling session for admission to the various institutions associated with the HPU B.Ed CET. Individuals must attend the counselling session at the time and date specified. They must be physically present during the counselling procedure. If a student is unable to attend counselling, they may send an authorised person in their place. Seats will be assigned based on merit and the applicant's selection for the institute.
HPU B.Ed 2025 Document Verification
HPU B.Ed CET Document verification is a key stage in the counselling process. All participants must bring the following documents to the counselling session:
- HPU B.Ed CET Admit card and Rank card
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheet and certificate
- Mark sheets of all semesters of the last qualifying graduate degree
- Caste and PwD certificate
- Character certificate from the college last attended
