IIT JAM 2025 Application Form

IIT JAM Application Form 2025 has been live.  IIT Delhi released the JAM 2025 application form on September 3, 2024. The last date to submit the IIT JAM 2025 application form is October 11, 2024. To fill out the application form of JAM 2025, candidates must first register on the official website at jam2025.iitd.ac.in. Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates pay Rs 900 for a single paper and Rs 1250 for two, while all other categories pay Rs 1800 for a single paper and Rs 2500 for two papers as application fees for the JAM 2025 exam.

The IIT JAM application process in 2025 is entirely online, from account creation to registration, document uploading, and fee payment. JAM application form 2025 will be available for a month, and aspiring IIT JAM 2025 candidates will be able to complete the JAM registration form by October 11, 2024, up to 11:50 PM, using a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. The JAM application process will be entirely online, from registering for the JAM registration account to paying the IIT JAM 2025 registration fees. The last date for editing the Examination Cities/Test Papers/Category/Gender will be November 30, 2024.

Documents Required to Fill IIT JAM Application 2025

IIT JAM 2025 Registration on JOAPS @jam2025.iitd.ac.in

The first step to filling out the IIT JAM application form is registration on the JOAPS (JAM Online Application Processing System). Candidates need to register themselves on the JOAPS website online. The steps to make the registration are given below:

• Go to the official website- jam2025.iitd.ac.in 
• Click on the JOAPS link available on the screen or Click on the candidate portal available on  the screen 
• The registration form will appear on the screen 

• Fill out the personal details like name, email address, mobile number
• Create a password for the candidate’s login 
• Confirm the password 
• Answer the arithmetic equation as CAPTCHA code
• Click on the ‘check-in’ box
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button
• Verify the mobile number and email ID and move forward with the IIT JAM application form 

Note: After submitting the IIT JAM registration form, the candidate will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number & email ID to verify the mobile number& email ID for further communication. Candidates are advised to provide an active mobile number to apply for the IIT JAM exam.

Step 1: Fill out the exam details in the application form like the name of the test paper(s). Candidates who want to appear for the two test papers must ensure that both papers are conducted in two different shifts.

IIT JAM 2025 Application Form: Document Specification

• The photograph must be recent, coloured, and have a white background or light-colour
• The size of the photograph must be in the dimensions of 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm with the clear face of the candidate on it. 
• The maximum size of the photograph that needs to be uploaded to the IIT JAM 2025 registration form is 480 pixels to 640 pixels (upper limit) whereas the lower limit for the photograph size is 240 pixels to 320 pixels in JPG/ JPEG format
• The size of the photograph in kB must be between 50 kB to 200 kB
• The face of the candidate in the passport photograph should be visible and not be covered with hair, mask, cloth, shadow, etc. The forehead, eyes, nose, and chin should be visible in the photograph
• If the candidate wears spectacles then they should follow the instructions below:
  • Photos with clear glass are acceptable and tinted glasses should be avoided while getting the photograph as it can lead to the rejection of the IIT JAM application form 
  • The photograph must not have any glare on the spectacles. If the glare is unavoidable then it is advised to take the photograph without spectacles

IIT JAM 2025 Signature Specification

Candidates must check the specification of the signature before uploading it to the IIT JAM application form 2025. Check the specifications below:

• The signature must be in a rectangular box with the dimensions of 2 cm X 7 cm and which should be cropped to the outline of the box while uploading the signature
• The signature must be done horizontally
• The size of the signature in pixels should be between 160 pixels X 560 pixels to 80 X 280 in JPG/ JPEG format
• The size of the signature in kB should be 50 kb to 150 kB 
• The signature must not be in capital letters or initials
• The candidates must do the signature with a black or blue pen as the signature with other colours will be rejected

IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to fill out the IIT JAM 2025 online application form must check the eligibility criteria before applying. The IIT JAM 2025 eligibility criteria is provided below:

• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree for IIT JAM registration. However, the final year appearing candidates can apply for the IIT JAM 2025 exam though they have to submit their mark sheet by September 2025 
• To be eligible for admission, the candidate must just qualify for the exam.
•  Earlier in 2021, the cut-off marks for the General category candidates was 55% marks whereas other category candidates had to secure a minimum of 50% marks to clear the cut-off. This process has been relaxed and the candidates just need to qualify for the IIT JAM 2025 exam to get enrolled in the courses
• The candidate who will qualify for the IIT JAM 2025 exam will become eligible to apply for the admission process
• There is no age limit to apply for the JAM 2025 exam
