IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria must be fulfilled if you want to appear for JAM 2025 exam. To take the IIT JAM 2025 exam, you must meet specific eligibility requirements. To get an admission to IIT JAM 2025, you must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field. The IIT JAM exam is meant for students who wish to enrol in MSc programs. According to IIT Delhi's declaration on IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2025, students sitting the exam have no age limit. However, the IIT JAM 2025 demands a bachelor's degree. You can enrol if you have or will take your graduation exams in 2025, as long as your documentation is submitted by September 2025.

IIT JAM Eligibility criteria was different till the year 2021. You were required to have a minimum of 55% aggregate or a 5.5 CGPA/CPI out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS categories, and 50% aggregate or a 5.0 CGPA/CPI for reserved categories. IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2025 Overview

Candidates who want to appear for the JAM 2025 exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the IIT JAM eligibility criteria 2025 below:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree to appear for the IIT JAM 2025
  • Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor's degree can also appear for the JAM 2025 exam. However, the candidates have to present the final result of their bachelor’s degree by September 2025
  • Candidates have to qualify for the IIT JAM 2025 exam to be eligible for the admission process
  • Candidates have to submit the physical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner to the authority. IIT JAM 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear for the IIT JAM 2025 exam. However, candidates have to fulfill the education qualification and subject requirements to be eligible for the IIT JAM 2025 exam.

  • Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised institute or university.

Minimum Marks
  • A candidate belonging to the General/OBC-NCL category and Foreign Nationals category must have 55% marks in his/her bachelor's degree.
  • For a candidate from SC/ST and PwD category, 50% marks in graduation is the requirement.
  • The proportion of marks in percentage will be adjusted by admitting colleges for those candidates having CGPA/ Letter Grades.
