IIT JAM Biotechnology 2025 Eligibility

To appear for the IIT JAM Biotechnology 2025, test takers need to get a clear idea regarding the eligibility requirements. These criteria are strictly reviewed during the application process. Find the requirements for Biotechnology below:

  • Nationality: There is no restriction on the nationality of applicants. Both Indians as well as foreign nationals can apply.
  • Educational Background: To appear for a biotechnology paper for IIT JAM 2025, you need to have completed a BSc in disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biotechnology.
  • Score requirement: Those who have secured at least 55% which is equivalent to a 5.5 CGPA are eligible. For the reserved category, concession will be given and they can apply with a score of 50% in their UG degree.

  • IIT JAM will be an online CBT mode exam conducted for 3 hours
  • The IIT JAM Biotechnology question paper will be distributed into three sections
  • Candidates have to answer MCQs, MSQs, and NAT questions
  • There will be a total of 60 questions for Biotechnology paper
  • Test takers need to answer 30 MCQs from section A, 10 MSQs from section B, and 20 NAT from section C.
