AP ICET Result 2024

The AP ICET result 2024 was released on May 30, 2024, in the form of a rank card. Students who appeared for the exam could check the result on the official website at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ICET using their Registration No., Hall Ticket No., and Date of Birth. AP ICET rankcard contains details like the candidate's overall and sectional marks, rank, name, registration number, roll number, date of birth, address of exam centre, gender, and exam date. The validity of the rankcard is one year from the date of release. Students can apply to any AP ICET participating colleges using the rankcard, if they meet the specified cutoff.

AP ICET 2024 Merit List

The AP ICET merit list 2024 will be released along with the AP ICET results by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The AP ICET merit list will consist of all the candidates who appeared for AP ICET and their corresponding marks and ranks obtained in the exam. The AP ICET Merit list will feature all the candidates who have appeared for AP ICET regardless of their scores. Candidates who have qualified for the exam will be able to participate in the AP ICET counselling process. Using the AP ICET merit list, candidates can ascertain whether they have qualified for the counselling process after the AP ICET results have been declared. It is important to note that the AP ICET merit list is also an influential factor in deciding the AP ICET cutoff.

There can be instances where two or more candidates receive the same score on the AP ICET exam. During such a situation the exam conducting bodies will apply the tie-breaking rule which will help in determining which candidate should be ranked higher in the merit list. Candidates should be aware of the tie-breaking rules to avoid any confusion regarding their ranks in the AP ICET exam. The AP ICET Merit List Tie-Breaking Rules are as follows:

  • If two or more candidates receive the same overall score in AP ICET, their ranks will be decided using their performance in Section A of the AP ICET question paper.
  • If the tie persists, candidates will be ranked based on their performance in Section B of the AP ICET question paper.
  • Subsequently, if a tie still persists, candidates will be ranked based on their age and the older candidate will be awarded the higher rank on the AP ICET merit list.

AP ICET 2024 Counselling Process

The AP ICET 2024 counselling process begins with document verification, followed by the selection of options, seat allotment, fee payment, and reporting to the allotted college for admission into MBA and MCA courses. This process is designed to facilitate the allocation of seats based on merit and candidate preferences. Candidates must first register on the AP ICET website at icet-sche.aptonline.in. for the web-based counselling process by paying a processing fee (INR 1200 for General & OBC and INR 60 for SC/ST). Shortlisting of candidates for the AP ICET counselling process is done on the basis of their rank on the merit list.

After the candidates are done choosing the college or stream on the basis of their ranks, they must verify their documents online. Candidates will be provided registration numbers/user IDs and passwords, which they will use later to participate in web counselling. The seat allotment letter is sent to the candidates through SMS or email using their email ID and mobile number registered with AP ICET. Finally, it is mandatory for the candidates to report to the allotted institution for admission to MBA/MCA courses on the mentioned date and time along with the allotment letter and original documents.
