AP ICET eligibility criteria 2025 is prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and it is the minimum conditions a candidate needs to fulfill to be considered qualified to appear for the exam. AP ICET 2025 Academic Qualifications

Applicants must have conducted a three graduate program in any relevant subject or its equivalent in the 10+2+3 sequence, which must be recognized by the University Grants Commission, as per the AP ICET eligibility criteria 2025. (UGC).

  • According to the AP ICET eligibility criteria, applicants in the General category must score 50 percent in proportion, while applicants in the Reserved category must score 45% to be allowed to qualify for AP ICET eligibility criteria 2025.
  • Those who completed their graduate degree through correspondence courses should be recognized by the Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE, and DEB, DEC, as per the AP ICET eligibility criteria.

The mere passing of an entrance exam does not qualify an applicant for admission to an MBA/MCA program unless the applicant:

  • Meets all of the AP ICET eligibility criteria for enrollment as specified by the relevant authority;
  • Appears to apply in reply to the committee's enrollment notification (for part-time/evening/distance mode); and
  • Appears for counseling at the designated location.

AP ICET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Reservation

Positions will be reserved for the AP ICET 2025 by the state reservation policies established by the government. Clarification on the subject will be provided in the confirmation that will be distributed at the time of counseling.

For Person with Disability

  • Reservation of AP ICET is available to people with 40% or more disability.
  • They must present a PH-Certificate from the District Medical Board.

NCC and Sports

  • Such candidates will be required to present original certificates issued by qualified authorities.

CAP People

  • The Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer's credential
  • Book of Discharge (in the case of Ex-Servicemen).
  • Service Certificate approved by Competent Authority for confirmation (in the case of Service Men).
  • Aspirants whose parents are Telangana residents depending on their Permanent Address/Home Town declaration. When they enlist in the military and as recorded in their Service Register, they are the only ones who are qualified to apply under the 'CAP' Category.

Anglo-Indian People

  • Such candidates must present a registration certificate issued by their residence's competent authority.

How can I check the eligibility criteria of AP ICET 2025?

You can check the eligibility criteria of AP ICET from the official website of AP ICET. The applicants must be citizens of India. They must have secured a Bachelor's degree in any discipline or field completed over a span of at least three years or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50%. However, only 45% aggregate marks are required of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates must have had Mathematics as a subject in Class 12. Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit to apply for AP ICET 2025. 

I have secured 49% marks in BCA. Can I apply for AP ICET?

No, you are not allowed to apply for AP ICET with a 49% marks in BCA if you belong to the General Category. It is mandatory for the General Category candidates to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in their Bachelor's degree programme. However, if you belong to the SC/ST/Reserved Category, you can apply for AP ICET even with a minimum aggregate of 45% in BCA.

What is the domicile requirement for AP ICET?

The applicants for AP ICET must be citizens of India. Candidates will have to fulfil the non-local/ local status laid down by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Admission Regulations) Order, 1974, as amended.

Can candidates from outside India apply for AP ICET?

Dear Student,

The AP ICET syllabus doesn't change every year. In fact, the syllabus has remained the same for the past many years. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education doesn't prescribe a detailed syllabus and only mentions the names of the sections and sub-sections in the instruction booklet, released after the notification every year.
