    • The closing rank up to which the students can take admission in Design courses will be the cutoff for CEED 2025.
    • Every participating college of CEED 2025 will have a different cutoff and it varies from college to college.

    CEED Cutoff 2025

The formula µ + (σ*2) = δ represents the relationship where µ and σ stand for the average marks and standard deviation, respectively, of all candidates in CEED Part-A. Both µ and σ will be rounded off to two decimal places.

For OBC-NCL category candidates, the cutoff will be 0.9δ.

The cutoff for SC, ST, and PWD categories will be 0.5δ.

Note: Part A Cut-off marks for CEED 2025 will be updated here once it is available.

    CEED 2025 Cutoff Part B

Part B comprises a total of 5 questions of 100 marks. By using the formula given below, a normalised score ‘S’ will be calculated. Part-B answer books will be evaluated manually for candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of Part A.

    S = {(m − μi) Σ / σi} + A, wherein

    • m= raw marks obtained in question i

    • μi = the average of the raw marks obtained by all candidates who attempt for the question i

    • σi = the standard deviation of the raw marks obtained by the candidates who answered the question i

    • A = 20 and Σ = 5 the average and the standard deviation, respectively, for the distribution of scores ‘S’. If the calculated ‘S’ score for any candidates is below 0, all such scores will be capped at 0, and if the calculated ‘S’ score for any candidate is above 40, all such scores will be capped at 40.

Marks obtained by the candidate in other questions in Part B will be added to ‘S’ for securing the part B score.

    CEED 2025 Shortlisting Criteria

The CEED shortlisting criteria for 2025 may be changed by IIT Bombay. The formula used to compute the CEED threshold may differ from year to year. The following is the expected formula for determining CEED shortlisting criteria: + ( 2) =, where and are the average and standard deviation of the distribution of marks received by all candidates in CEED 2025 Part-A.

After the first decimal place, the and will be rounded off. Candidates from the reserved categories will be required to meet a lower cut-off point, which will be:

    • 0.9δ for OBC-NCL
    • 0.9δ for EWS
    • 0.5δ for SC/ST
    • 0.5δ for PwD

Note: IIT Bombay is yet to announce the criteria for shortlisting applicants for CEED 2025. The shortlisting formula is based on past years' statistics, although it can change for 2025. Candidates can visit the official CEED website for the most up-to-date information on the shortlisting criteria.
