The UCEED exam is for students who wish to take admission to undergraduate courses in design programmes, whereas the CEED exam is conducted for students who want to get admission to postgraduate or doctoral programmes in the design field.
For 2024, the total number of students who registered for the exam was 6037 and the number of students who appeared for the CEED Exam 2024 was 4910. As per official records, there are 8 participating institutes in the CEED examination and all these institutes have more than 302 seats for the MDes course.
The question paper of CEED has 2 sections - Part A and Part B. Part A of the CEED exam includes NAT, MSQ, and MCQ questions and there is a negative marking for MCQ-type questions and M.Sc. Although, no negative marking is applicable for NAT-type questions.
If a student studies dedicatedly, then it would take no more than 6 months for them to prepare for the CEED exam. Also, if the fundamentals of a student are clear beforehand, then it might take even less time to cover the entire syllabus of the CEED exam.
