The CEED Exam or the Common Entrance Examination for Design offers admissions to students in MDes and PhD programmes. This examination is conducted by IIT Bombay across 8 participating institutes.
Students who wish to appear for the CEED exam are required to complete a diploma/degree/postgraduate programme of minimum of three years (after 10+2 level), or should be appearing for the final examination of such a programme by July 2025 or should have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2025.
For CEED 2025, the entrance exam fee for the General category is INR 3,800 and for the SC/ST/PwD categories is INR 1,900. There is a fee relaxation for female candidates as well who also have to pay INR 1,900.
The CEED exam is conducted on a national level to admit students to the M.Des Programme. The difficulty level of the CEED exam is believed to be somewhere between moderate to high.
Any score above 30 marks is considered to be a good score in the CEED exam.
