About CEED Cutoff 2023

The CEED exam was held on January 22, 2023. The results of the CEED Exam were declared on March 7, 2023. The CEED Cutoff for the year 2023 was released on February 10, 2023 wherein the cutoff for the General category came out to be 27.30 and for OBC-NCL/EWS category, the cutoff was 24.57. For the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the CEED Cutoff 2023 was 13.65. The standard and the mean deviation of the cutoff of CEED 2023 were 11.82 and 22.59 respectively.

The cutoff marks for CEED 2023 were released on the official website of IIT Bombay on February 10, 2023. Mentioned below are the cutoff marks for CEED Exam - Part A and the qualifying marks that each candidate was expected to attain as per their categories. As per the qualifying marks, students will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:

CEED Cutoff 2023 Exam 

µ + (σ 2) = δ where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in CEED Part A exam. The µ and σ will be rounded off to two decimal places. 

The cutoff for OBC-NCL category candidates will be 0.9δ. 

The cutoff SC, ST, and PWD categories will be 0.5δ.

What is the use of appearing for the CEED exam?

The CEED Exam or the Common Entrance Examination for Design offers admissions to students in MDes and PhD programmes. This examination is conducted by IIT Bombay across 8 participating institutes.

Who is eligible for the CEED exam 2025?

Students who wish to appear for the CEED exam are required to complete a diploma/degree/postgraduate programme of minimum of three years (after 10+2 level), or should be appearing for the final examination of such a programme by July 2025 or should have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level)  by July 2025.

What are the entrance exam fees for CEED?
