The students are also provided divisions by the Bihar School Examination Board. Students are provided with first, second, and third divisions based on the system given below:

Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2025: Guidelines
There are some provisions laid forward by the Bihar School Examination Board for the passing criteria to be considered by the students. Check out the guidelines from the pointers given below:
- The minimum passing marks in every subject are 30 marks. Students are also required to score 150 marks in the aggregate total to be declared pass according to the provision set forward by BSEB.
- In case the students manage to get a total score of 150 or above but are unable to score 30 marks in one or more subjects then they will have to sit for the compartment exams in those subjects.
- Students who fail to get the minimum passing marks in four or more subjects are not eligible to sit for the compartment exam. These students will have to repeat the academic year and appear for the exams accordingly next year.
The division scored by the students in the board exams will be reflected in the results published on the official website and in the original marksheet which the school authority will distribute.
