• Read and Understand Questions - The first step is to understand the questions. It is necessary to know what the question is asking. Only then will you be able to write the correct answers. After understanding the question exactly, you should be able to write relevant answers.
• Divide the Time - For each section in the question paper, you can divide the time limit. The sections with short questions can be given less time in comparison to the long questions.

CBSE Class 10 Marking Scheme 2024-25

While attempting the sample question papers for the CBSE Class 10th exam, the candidates must also have an idea of the CBSE Class 10 Marking Scheme.  As per the marking scheme, the candidates will be awarded scores for each question in the exam. This will help the candidates understand how they need to attempt their papers to score maximum marks in the exam. Given below are the important points related to the CBSE Class 10 Marking Scheme:

• The overall paper will consist of 100 marks which include theory and internal evaluation.
• Out of 100 marks, 80 marks will be awarded for the theory paper and 20 marks will be awarded for internal evaluation.
• The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
• There will be a total of 30 questions in the exam.
• The questions will be objective, short-answer, and long types of questions for 1, 2, 3, and 4 marks.
• There will be no negative marking in the exam.
• At least 33% in a subject and overall is the minimum score needed to pass the board exams.

Subjects in CBSE Class 10 Paper

There are five compulsory subjects in class 10th according to CBSE. These five subjects include two language subjects and three other subjects.
